there is a front facing one :D to be honest, i think it is a transition to the VR. just replace it to the other side, and you have it. i think smartphones will come with a VR cam set in one or two years
+Eric Xu Huawei had it first, on a phone, undoubtedly taking inspiration from the Apple Watch's Force Touch & rumours circulating 3D Touch. It should also be noted that Apple owns the company called LinX Imaging, which showed of similar technology years ago.
+Eric Xu but if it were Samsung to implement it into a phone, Samsung fans would call it "revolutionary". It goes both ways so no point in complaining about it.
+Dane Yet, no one knows that. Apple implements, old or new, technologies into their phones in a way that their customers can understand and use on a daily basis. They never claim that they invent the technology. Everyone knows they acquire companies to utilize their patents. But they are calling their way of implementation revolutionary because it is; using their global reach and engineering power to bring the product to market.
+Shaun Moon Except when Steve Jobs claimed at the iPhone keynote that apple invented multitouch when they clearly didn't (a university demonstrated the tech multiple years before)
kendokaaa Like I said, it's either that the university did not go through the legal hoops to patent/copyright their research or they got compensated by Apple. Either way, some other company would have purchased their assets any how. However, I agree that Apple should be more transparent with whom they purchase their technology from, even though they fine-tune it into their products.
2021 coming back. Just awesome!
for a second there I thought it was Sam Smith

very interesting
Woah! Paisley table cloth. That is so cool. Very impressed.
Shouldn't low light camera performance be more important then having a bit less blurrier zoom on a cell phone?
it's like covering one eye and only using the other eye. The dual camera is like looking using both eyes which is much clearly than using only on eye
Wrong analogy
How do you know you've spotted a hipster? When two planes of mutually exclusive logic collide. Like wielding an iPhone and a Casio Databank watch 😛
Anyone know what watch he wear?
what the music on start?
+Anti Web please , answer
dual camera just for a better zoom?
no x-ray/infrared vision,yet? no buy!
Completely different wavelengths and energy carry
+CrucialConflict buy a real camera then
LG G5 has started the race
imagine what 8 cameras can do..
this is actually very innovative and useful . digital zoom sucks
So far it looks like iPhone 7 will take advantage of this new tech.
