- I have written this ambient piece for a friend who had to be hospitalised. Instead of sending him a postcard Estroe (another music friend) and I decided to each create a piece of music for him. In my case this is the result. It’s called From the ground up. I asked my friend if I could share this piece with you and he immediately said: “Yes music and art needs to be shared. So please enjoy this ambient piece. May it soothe and comfort you.

Thank you! Dark and unsettling can be beautiful too. It's something I should try to do sometimes as well. There is also a power in creating what comes natural. It defines who you are and gives your work something unique and authentic. So yeah, I try to explore new sounds and vibes sometimes while staying true to what comes natural on the other side

… i’ve been debating between the Rene 2 and Hermod + … been leaning toward Rene but this just made me want to dig in deeper to the Hermod… any thoughts on the Hermod you’d like to share I’d enjoy that…

Thank you for your kind words! Rene 2 and Hermod+ are two different both awesome modules in their own way. Hermod is mostly great if you want a more detailed and specific workflow. You can decide and write every note. It works especially great when working with a midi keyboard. You can definitely create a more intuitive workflow with set scales and arps(also without a midi keuboard) but I would say its mostly a composing tool and as a base and brain for your live patches.
René 2 is exactly the other way around. Great for live improvisation and a more intuitive workflow but more difficult to be specific and detailed. Also possible but not the way its designed.
For me the Hermod+ ticks all the boxes but its personal.
Btw to throw s curveball, the Intellijel Metropolix is a totally awesome and inspiring sequencer which I would choose over the René 2. Good luck with choosing your sequencer 😄
