Mr.Hillson's conversation style and the very basic principle of Risk ( according to me) is very similar, think simple & keep it to the point . Another great conversation and happy to be able to watch ( upside of technology :-) )

Great. But what do you think about Ulrich Beck, and Giddens, Douglas? Risk government? Abstract risks? Endangernment and the assessment of dangerousness level of criminal offenders?

Thanks for your questions Nikita. All of these are interesting and important topics. Of course it's not possible to cover everything in one interview, and the scope of this discussion was set by the interviewer. I'll consider these ideas for future discussions, thanks.

Sir, is power outage a technological risk?

Thanks for your question. A risk is an uncertainty that if it occurs will affect achievement of one or more objectives. So a power outage is only a risk if it would have an impact on our objectives. If your goal is to hold a picnic in the park, then it is not a risk!

I was asked to list technological hazards that can affect a manufacturing company so I hope blackouts/ major power outage can be a technological risk as it can affect the operations of the company. Am I right sir?
