Our starting center is a very important guy. Jayden won the game. He's like early Elway. Defense not quite there yet. Spotty run game. Elway won. No Super Bowl until he got support and we need to get Jayden support hopefully faster than Elway got his.
He did quite a bit. But it's year 1 of the regime; we all knew the roster needed to be overhauled and that does not happen in one offseason. But, yes, they need to build up the roster for sure. This offseason will go a long way toward doing so. There's always urgency anymore because of the QB contract situations; just think what it'll cost to extend him in a few years. So, yeah, needs to happen sooner than later.
Good point John about having to lean on Jayden more. Ertz, Eckeler, N. Brown...that's 46% of the offense up to this point gone from the field. Kliff's gonna have to continue to scheme the fellas up and Jayden gonna have to wear his cape for more minutes in these games down the stretch.
Definitely Talked about it. Was big. The play coaches here would say is the 4th and 1; few can make that play. But neither were bigger than a play he extended for 8 seconds and ended up throwing a perfect pass for a TD
Speaking as a former CB, BSJ’s problem is he tries to jam with his hands and not with his feet. He needs to impede the wide receivers path, which then makes it easier to get hands on them without holding or recklessly grabbing for them.
Good point. I have seen him use his feet at times; stuns the WR. But clearly you have a trained eye for that detail. I will say, they don't ask them to jam that much (as you know not every corner does it well and some WRs are great at combating it); where he gets in trouble consistently is down the field -- that's where the penalties and big plays occur.
@ All very true. It’s a shame though, because I think he’s a real good corner if he plays about 15 years ago. But he’s too handsy for this NFL and I think his confidence is finally shot. I feel for those guys that needed to be developed by the previous regime and never got what they needed.
Sunday was not a matter of robinson not running hard or hurting. Not at all. Blocking was as poor as it's been all year (not just by the 5 ol). Saints deserve credit for that. A handful of Robinson runs that went 5 and beyond were all on his effort.
@@johnkeim4748 yeah but …. Sometimes it won’t be a BROB type of game it will be a CRod game regardless of what the other team DL is doing. Just like everygame wont be a Terry game , some people are hotter than others in a game 🤷🏽♂️ I felt Chris should of got some more snaps 🫰
I hope we make the playoffs through scenario not a winner take all against Atlanta. We never seem to win those games. Ecspecially Cousins will play the very best he can to knock us out. Praying Atlanta loses this week. Doubtful but praying.
Cousins has no animosity whatsoever toward this current group. He's been gone longer than he played here (and, trust me, he would have returned given the chance last offseason. Once Wash had the no. 2 pick it made that a moot point. And I'm not sure they ever would have considered anyway given the age and injury situation. point is: no animosity). He should be more motivated by saving his job and simply helping Atlanta win than in knocking this team from the postseason because they let him walk years ago. Also hard to judge this group by what happened here in the past. Staff completely different; roster turned over. What they did in 2017 or 2022 has no bearing on what they might do. If Wash loses it's because they could never stop the run more than anything.
Jayden getting sacked 8 times isn't a good look. Also to many misses to Terry. He's a rookie making rookie mistakes. Will need mistake free football to have a chance vs Eagirlz
Was the worst game for sacks all season; if it was a trend I'd be more concerned but it hasn't been. He still needs to learn when to throw the ball away; will take time given his play style and how he often escapes situations others can't.... Missing a deep ball isn't a rookie mistake. On throws that travel 40 or more yards in the air, Daniels has completed 5 of 11; the NFL average for completions on such throws is 29.2 percent. Josh Allen and Mahomes have combined to complete 3 of 12. Bo Nix is 1-11; Jordan Love is 4-10. Yes, it would be nice if they connected more on those throws but they're not high percentage passes (one was a drop).
1 pass was barely missed and the other one was Terry fault he slowed up 🤷🏽♂️ the sacks are tough but we played other strong DLs and he hasn’t been sacked that much 🤷🏽♂️ but you factor in Tyler not playing , the OL looking out of sync with him gone and 3 offensive weapons are now gone it’s a lot of adjustments going on right now , even with play calling. It’s starting vets out here not playing on JD level as rookie 🤷🏽♂️😂
@CapShotzVideo he missed open passes on those sacks as well. Yep, Jayden is a rookie making rookie mistakes. He should still win rookie of the year if it plays out the same in these last 3 games
Good question; no great answer. But i will say, he did not stand out in training camp either. He's not a sudden movement type TE; think he can evolve into a useful piece as a versatile blocker capable of doing more with his hands. But I'd still look for a young legit pass catching threat as a complementary piece, depending what they do with Ertz (and Bates is a pending FA); heck, I'd look for that regardless. And thank you...

I like this take.💯
As always, great reporting and insight. Thanks John!
Noah I. has been a very under rated addition to the team, makes big time plays and is consistent, also a great tackler, we needed him

What about that 3rd and 14 scramble for a first down keim? And the slide at the end?

Coaching staff never valued Ridgeway? C-Rod needs to be put in the game when Robinson's not running hard or hurting.

@@johnkeim4748 Good teams shut down our offense when they shut down B-Rob. Just puts too much on JD. Biadasz was missed

What is the deadline for the NFL to announce the Atlanta game time?
12 days out. But do think we might find out later this morning when the game will be played. My guess: will be the night game but not sure which day.
What is with sinnot and why has his play not improved? So technically no TE to play..Bates just moves slow. Great listen, thanks!

@johnkeim4748 no offense to the staff but why draft him then if can't contribute?, lol
I'm 62 life long skins fan I think they'll lose the next three missing playoffs but still a successful season
One of the worst officiated games of the season.
