    You are amazing to watch. The finesse is incredible. It looks like you have no trimming to do.

    It is wonderful to see you at work, I never get tired of seeing you throwing, triming and glazing.
    Indeed, how do you do for glazing such a tall piece?

    Every moment spent with the ribs is strengthening the walls, also using "near zero water" is a great accept.
    To centre and keep cantered, throughout the making of the clay this large, is no easy matter.
    You show us that it is possible though, thank you.
    Thank you for all your videos.

    Pleasure to watch,ive had trouble with differsnt clays,as far as elasticity, and the amou nt of grog.These things have a big effect on throwing high and then wide. 21:51

    Wow, this spectacular vase made in 32.30 minutes! I love the control, skill and attention to detail you bring to everything you make! I so appreciate you teaching as you go and explain things so well. I learn so much from you. I can't yet do what you do, but learn something each time. You are such a master potter!

    Is everyone capable of the beautiful pottery you produce. If I persevere is it possible I can do similar beautiful work..??

    so, you usually use the porcelain for throwing. does the grog in the stoneware help with throwing larger pieces?

    I noticed you center at a very slow speed in comparison to others. What are the advantages in you mind? Thanks, I love your work.

    • @jonbroyles2521
      @jonbroyles2521 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most likely because it is easier to handle that amount of clay while centering with the wheel at a lower speed. When centering larger amounts I find myself slowing down the wheel also.

    How many kilograms were in that, Master Hsinchuen?
    Thank you for sharing all your impeccable work.

      That was 9 years ago. I’d say approximately 5-6 Kgs.

    How does he compress the wall?

    • @triciac1019
      @triciac1019 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I am understanding your question correctly, his left hand is inside and his right hand is on the outside. He uses his hands or fingers on the inside and outside. He basically presses the clay from the inside and outside and raises his hands and the clay compresses and rises. He has other videos that show how he does that. Just keep watching and it makes more sense over time.

    • @hsinchuen
      @hsinchuen  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s T-2 and B-mix 2:1 ratio
