String length from the comments is 1.5m. Hex nut size is either M8 or M12 since op responded to two different people with different answers. Might be nice to have the materials in the description.

I replaced the nut with a 12 mm one ( 1 inch ) a piece of double látex tube, and voila ! a very handy self defense keychain.

what is the length from one fist to the other and what size nut is that (also tip for videos is to show the length of stuff in video alswell as distance between stuff)
Well the distance will depend on the size of you hand, and some like them a bit longer if it comes out to long you can tie a knot in the middle to shorten abit, but i´ll keep that in mind to show the distances thx for the feedback

I buy a cheap bag of marbles from walmart and use the shooter marbles. Best ones i made i used the 3 balls out of an old pinball arcade .

You have to measure it depends on your hand side, check the video where i show it should be about the lengtht between your fingers.

What is Required Materials
I made my beg out of a shoe lace and old ecig coil for the weights then covered in foam an tape so they are so hard , kinda wanna get more shoe string and make.these
How durable is this, will it last the fidgeting test of time?
It´s very durable since it´s paracord don´t really see it breaking

I used about 1.5 meters, had some extra to cut off but easy to make it when it is longer.

I have a better idea that will cost 40 pence. Around 4.5 inches of cord and 2 rubber balls, hot glue them together and boom. I just did it now and it holds up really well if secured properly.
EDIT:Use superglue instead, i end up with the hot glue always snapping off lol.
