The beauty of carpentry art is killed by the work of computer-controlled machines - from the drawing, through the carving - the skill and admiration only begins with the hand painting. When you were building the workshop - from digging the foundations to installing the machines and tools, I watched some of the parts more than once. And I admired your incredible talent and patience. But our children and my 11-year-old grandson in elementary school make such Christmas decorations. Also with a laser engraving machine, cutter and computer program. No offense. My admiration also goes to your wife, she is a truly excellent and patient helper. Merry Christmas!
I always say that all I leave all the tedious work to Renée. I'm using my CNC for convenience and precision, making furniture takes a lot of time, so I can't make several piece for Christmas presents, on top of having less space to put then, so I make stuff for other people, like the door frame I did, but this took me several monts to finish. I have some furniture I want to do next year, hopefully I will find the time to make them. As for my shop I think I will never be able to redo such a huge undertaking and I know it's what attract people, but this cost me almost $100,000. Being retired I can not afford this, as a matter of fact I couldn't afford my own property nowadays....
