I fucking love it when they do research exclusively to screw with each other.
Bricky's forehead is extra shiny in this short.
in every short
He polished it just for us.
He's greasy
Oooooooh, the comeback for the caramel apple. 👌🏼
Ackshually, Finland is not a part of Scandinavia since we're not a part of the peninsula that has Sweden and Norway. We're basically the balls to their shaft.
That explains so much about the Finns
@@TheGallantDrakeyeah but atleast we are bot as gay as the swedes
It gets worse. The peninsula isn't what makes the other two Scandinavian, the peninsula is named after the region of Scandinavia which is based on non geographical stuff. It's super confusing and interesting.
@@jasperlempinen483atleast we aint denmark
Makes sense, takes a lot of balls to do what you all did to the USSR during the winter war.
I mean, Texas does border the Gulf of Mexico, which is directly connected to the Atlantic Ocean, so saying it has an ocean isn’t entirely off-base.
I thought I was crazy but that mf is definitely touching the Atlantic
Meanwhile the North Sea:
I would definitely call that direct ocean access
It’s just funny to say anything “has an ocean” as in *internally*. Also funny for an American not to know Texas or California or Florida is on the Ocean.
@@cascadeblue9 The Gulf of Mexico is considered a marginal sea of the Atlantic Ocean, which is a portion of an ocean that is mostly encircled by land, but still connected to and part of the wider ocean.
Bro is back from his 27th mute
Tbf Texas has the gulf of Mexico which is basically part of an ocean
I came here to say the same thing. The Gulf of Mexico is a part of the Atlantic Ocean.
As a texan i came here to reply to this comment with the response of "oh, so you folks are okay with us claiming that their ocean and its related bodies of water?"
The Carribean is also part of the Atlantic Ocean
Zen was talking about a beach in Texas and mel asked does texas have an ocean and everyone made fun of her because texas is on the coast and how else else would it have a beach
Fuck out of here with that nine-dash line ass mindset.
Technically Finland isn't a Scandinavian country.
Scandinavia is Finland's foster home. 😉
Yes it bloody well is, you Russian.
Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland.
@@JoshSweetvale finland and estonia is "sibling" country and language
@@JoshSweetvaleiceland and finland are nordic not scandinavian. Scandinavia only consists of Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
@@Xiraia Fun fact, the finnish and estonian language is also related to hungarian, both are part of the fino-ugric language family. While othe scandinavian languages are germanic.
This video is such a clusterfuck, Finland isn't even in Scandinavia lmao
Yes it is.
@@JoshSweetvalehave you ever heard of google? because a simple search will get you the answer that its not.
Its is however nordic.
@@JoshSweetvaleit’s Scandanavia’s balls, Scandinavian Peninsula is just the shaft.
And does Finnish really sound similar to Russian?
Seeing Bricky talk with a V-tuber is amazing, I support it fully
For what she looses in density she makes up for with the apple
Finnougrics mad in the chat
Yes, let's call americans as Brits, French or Spanish depending on their state, no reason for them to be mad :D.
I mean... Yeah... Texas has an ocean. Sure a large part of it is surrounded by land making the gulf of Mexico but... there is nothing separating it from the ocean. Heck, we even connected to the other big ocean through the Panama canal.
Technically "Scandinavia" is Denmark, Norway and Sweden due to their shared history - if you want a term for Norway, Sweden and Finland you can say "Fennoscandia" or you can add Denmark, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland on top of that to get "the Nordic Countries"
But only the nerdiest of geography nerds say "Fennoscandia."
Even funnier- it’s not Slavic! It’s Finno-Urgic, very distantly related to Hungarian and even further to Proto-Indo-European. It does kind of sound slavic though, with plenty of loanwords, but it was an also an inspiration for Tolkien’s Elvish.
Also as a Texan, get’er Bricky!
it's funny how Trash Taste podcast this week had the same finnish/finish mishearing about finnish games, but exactly the other way
Someone bring up the clock incident.
Finnish isnt a slavic language, slavic languages are more closely related to english than to finnish.
As someone who studied all three, it's definitely not the case
A significant chunk of general principles (for example, emphasis on word structure instead of sentence structure, word permutations depending on each other) are more common between Finnish and Russian than between English and either of them
Careful, read into too much history and you'll wonder why Finland is invited to the gathering of Hunnic Tribes. Which is based in Hungary. Along with Japan.
@@Invizive One, finnish is ugric, russian is Indo-European. Two Finnish language in it's writen form had to take cues from swedish and russian as it was created and grew over last 500 years. But as it is not indo european like slavic and germanic languages the OP is technically right.
To explain she asked because she didn’t know Texas was on the coast mel’s single braincell was trying it’s best okay
Not knowing Texas is on the coast is also crazy 💀
You okay patrick?
FINLAND
Tbf finnish as a language is just weird as it is in a same language group as hungarian for whatever reason.
That would be the western migration of tribes originally east of the Urals after 1500 BC. That also applies to Estonians and the Sami.
To be fare the Midwest plain were and ocean during the dinosaur time
(laughs in Finnish)
But like... Texas borders the gulf of mexico... which is part of the Atlantic ocean... is there something I'm missing?
I believe the term Finland aspires to is Nordic, not Scandinavian
...they ask you how you are, and you just have to say that you're fine, when you're not really fine
Thought yall were about to call Kojima a hack
Speaking of failed education... Finland is not part of Scandinavia.
Lmao this is the best 😂
Finland mentioned
Finland isn't even Scandinavian. Scandinavia (at least historically) is only Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
That said, Finland produces the wildest media. (Ie Fear and Hunger, Alan Wake, etc.)
Geographically, it's Scandinavian.
Im confused because texas does have an ocean.
I love melody haha 😆
He gave her flashbacks
Man, that was low..😂
Death standing 2 is the game they are working on
Texas has the gulf of mexico.
Finish is a Uralic language. Not slavic
We all have our moments
“Finnish sounds like a Slavic language”
*is a Uralic language, not a Slavic one*
Just because a coutry borders a different country doesn't mean they are similar. Russians are slavs, finnish people definitely aren't and the languages almost can't be more different. During European history, there were huge migrations so the languages and cultures are spread all over. The language has similar roots as the one Hungarians speak for example, but they are quite far away (from a European perspective). It's still a very nordic country tho. In my perspective, it's very different from Russia.
Actually over the last few centuries Finnish adopted more and more Russian traits. Languages change, you're right their origins are far apart but they're less so today.
*Gulf of Mexico has left the chat*
Does the Gulf of Mexico count as part of the Atlantic ocean?
Gulf of Mexico...
Need the beinvenu clip
Langu
To be fair we border the Gulf of Mexico. Still don’t have our own ocean tho
If the gulf of Mexico is an inlet of the at an tic ocean, Texas does have an ocean. It's not a stupid thing to say.
Moreover Finland was a part of Russian empire during hole 19 century
Wasnt Finland part of russia before the communist revolution?
And before that part of Sweden, for a pretty long time too IIRC, like one or two or even three hundred years long or so.
Ok no, tell me about that one time you found geography useful that isn't in a random conversation, and no, reading a map doesn't count.
The system didn't fail you, you didn't fail, we tend to forget useless stuff.
Um.... Texas does have an ocean..
It borders the Gulf of Mexico and that's the Atlantic Ocean...
pffft
What’s with the cartoon
Bricky... the Gulf is part of the Atlantic 😐
Just did some research since I'm a euro and don't necessarily know how this stuff works in general.
It seems that while they are connected, Gulf of Mexico is not a part of the Atlantic and is considered it's own body of water. Probably since it's mostly enclosed by land.
Too bad Alan Wake 2 wasnt great
Do get these weird anime fake people things outta here they’re so cringe 😬
If you don’t like it then don’t watch it. It’s that simple.
Why are you here if you don't like it? Why? Why, huh? Do you think you're making yourself look cool by acting like a dick? Huh? Are you?
@@Tyllinis what makes you think I watched it? I came straight to the comments to express my dislike and contempt for this stupid form of content, a thing I’m allowed to do just as you’re here leaving a smart ass remark thinking you’re really that guy 👍🏽
