Hlo zilu I am so excited that you chose to watch this series I took my medical college entrance exams in 2019 in which 1.6 million students appeared. I secured an all india rank of 532 among 1.6 millions and i am now reading in one of the top government medical colleges where the government literally bears 90 percent of the fees. If I would not have cracked this exam I would have to take admission in some private medical college in the country where they demand like 1 crore/10 million rupees for admission. But now I literally can do my bachelors in just 1/20 th of the cost in private colleges. To get into this medical college I too had to go through the competitive environment and i was also a late admin. I can relate so much with this character. Only thing is he is preparing for engineering entrance, I was doing for medical entrance. Here the character wants to get into IITs(Indian Institute of technology). There are many universitoes where he can get easily mostly private ones but iits are like mit of india. When we graduate from such top institutes we are guaranteed high pay jobs that's why everybody tries so hard to get into top colleges of the country. Those who are not able to crack these exams still go to universities but those are not good as IITs, IIMs Or top government medical colleges . There are 23 IITs in India.

This main character will get a dummy school and will learn through coaching as the school doesn't help to crack the entance exam but the coaching does. Kisi tharh clg me admission liya ... Clg khtm hote hote placement nahi hua kahi ... 1 saal skill develop karne delhi gaya waha hm jaise lower caste ko log first meet me ajib nazro se dekhte hai.. Thnks god us ek saal ke menhat se maine oracle me job mil gaya..mera bas itna tha ki family ko aachi life de saku but mere ko bhut bara amount mila .. IT SECTOR me st hone se kuch nahi hota skills matter karte hai....
I remember during my neet days it was so hard. And i slept less than 4 hrs a day and after my neet exam all I did was sleep and eat for 2 months straight
2:18 it is same thing you can get good colleges without much completion but they would be private college charge you very high. That's why we have to go through completion to get a good + government funded college.
hey nice to see people understanding getting into usa college is not hard as compare to in Indian colleges.. I personally was preparing for medical but left it after taking a drop year as I was getting a private college who's fees can get as high as 20 million rupees just for tuition fees there are approx 1million rupees of extra fees for miscellaneous... for numbers in 2022 exam nearly 1.9million students gave exam for nearly 13-15 k govt seat after reservation (66.7% seats are reserved) total no of seats are nearly 85k including privates and Govts... but for engineering their are very few top govt college like IIT with 6k seats but their are more than 1million seats if we include all govt private colleges....
There is reason the whole series is black and white, it's to show the difficulties they go through to get into the colorful life they are promised after they get into top tier colleges(IIT)

I have studied in kota Allen (maheshwari in the series) for NEET UG entrance exam for medical College ,u should take kota as it is painted in the series the only thing which they missed was initially due to local water , our hair fall alot . all of the boys for first 3 months were bald .

It's more of a rat race kind of situation in India. Certain career choices are quite prevalent like persuing Engineering and Medical in their Graduation years and then doing MBA, or appearing for Indian Civil Service Examination for different roles in Ministries. For sports the same affection is towards Cricket (as you can see from the obsession we have for the game 😂). Now one who are unaware of all these situation might think that, wow Indians are quite smart that everyone there pursue Engineering and Medical as their career profession. Well its somewhat true 😂 but not the entire truth. The truth is in India we have certain sectors which people thinks as a safeguarding option as professionals and Engineering and Medical are top of it. Now why is this, its because of various reasons, like lack of Government interest, Lack of awareness among people, corruption in beaurocracy and most importantly lack of risk taking mentality (due to various reasosn like family pressure, responsibility, peer influence and most importantly lack of self evaluation). As you said that its not that hard to get into a University in Russia, but its hard to get scholarship there. Situation is pretty similar in Indian context too. Its not hard to get admission into Private Universities in India but its hard to get Admission into Public or Government funded University. The level of competition is this much that people start preperation for all these Entrace examinations (these examination get one into Public Universities) from lower grades such as 6th grade itself. Now to prepare people for these covated Entrance Examination there are quite a few Coaching Institutes which helps one to crack all these examinations by providing faculties, Guidance, Study materials, Environment etc etc. Now the level of competition is this much that there are quite a few institutions are there in market which proclaim all these to students, however not all are eligible in terms of caliber of providing quality education to students as what they claim. As a result there is a competition among students to get into the best among all coaching institute before even preparing for University Entrance examinations. 😂😂
