By letting Yamada stand the referee actually granted Yamada a chance to hit Folayang with a masterful and decisive finish. In the end, The Champion was able to deny Yamada a grapple centric match of which the Japanese fighter would have preferred. And thus, The Filipino Striker won against The Japanese Grappler.
