I grew up eating Netty's at my grandpa's place in Marblehead, OH. Those things just have a taste so familiar that I'm not sure I could ever judge against them in a head to head like this.
love me some nettys! Tony packo's is pretty different just because theirs isn't a hot dog, it's a polish sausage so there's a lot more flavor in the dog. Both are great though!

Loving these coney dog battles!!! They look sooo good and I live no where near Toledo!! I am in southeastern NC at the beach so we do have our fair share of local joints, but never seen chili dogs like these!! Keep on rockin' hard, good buddies!!
You have no idea what Toledo is😂 at the very most it’s mediocre and there’s something sinister about how stagnant it is. Believe me when I say the best stuff from Toledo isn’t still in Toledo. And the best stuff in Toledo can be compared to the worst stuff from any other state

I've never considered Tony Packo's a "coney" dog. Netty's, Rudy's, Ideal & Charlie's are CONEY DOGS! Tony Packo's is in their own class! Try the Tony Packo pizza at Vito's!!!! Maybe you did try it at pizzapalooza?

First, I completely agree. There is something about the way the Netty's bun envelopes the hotdog... it's the perfect bite. Second, you guys are fantastic.

I’ve had both. Netty’s is the best in my opinion also! For the perfect treat ... two Netty’s chili dogs and a Netty’s root beer float (if they put the root beer in first and twirl the ice cream on top). To die for!!! 😋👍🏼

there is a little ice cream place out in Oregon, OH Called Dairy Depot. only open in the summer time. they have good chili dogs also. 4 chili dogs for like $7 but if you hungry 6 chili dogs for like $9

OK in honor of what you guys have been doing the past two days I thought I would try my first Coney dog ever. So I went to the nearest place which was sonic. I know how you guys feel about sonic but it was really my only choice. They forgot the onions and the mustard so it was essentially a chili cheese dog. Good just not what I was looking for. I am going to look for some places near me though because I want to try one. Even though I'm not a big mustard fan. Hope you guys are having a great trip be safe.

packos is better. it's an institution. you have to have it fresh though. if you're letting it sit in the container getting cold and mushy while driving across town to get to nettys, of course nettys is coming out on top. fresh nettys vs packos that's been sitting for a while it's not a fair competition. that doesn't mean it's better, it just means it was fresher.

I don't like Netty's for the exact reason you like them, too mushy. A good dog should have some snap IMO. The flavor is great it's just the texture. Ideal is probably my favorite locally. Rudy's is great IF you get their "king beef" dog, not a fan of the pork/chicken dogs.
