The meadow you're up to your chest it just lovely!
Its such a fantastic location with tremendous land owners!
Gold plated advise. Thank you . First year bee caretakers . It's been a busy year .
No problem. Hope you season is going well! :)
Black Mountain Honey every inspection is a lesson. Today we found a sealed queen sell and fresh laid eggs ? Not managed to see the queen yet but Took the sealed queen down .
@@RoderickSpoke Was it a single cell?
If i ever find a single queen cell I immediately think supersedure and leave them to it. If there were eggs they have the resources to try again if needed
Black Mountain Honey yes a single hanging off the bottom of a frame . Just a grub inside
Great video! tough call for sure....if I see swarm cells the bees are speaking to me ...telling me something....I listen.
Yeah i get what you mean. Sometimes with packages when you introduce a queen of different genetics the colony they can supersede for no reason. If i go back next time and there are cells ill let them supersede as there is clearly an issue
Great vid. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Plenty more to come! :)
Thanks for sharing i do that sometimes you just have to read your bees they will tell you how to do things.
Very true
Why is there so much comb at the bottom of the frame
Its a national deep frame being cycled out in a 14 x 12 hive
Hi, Did you shake the Queen off also?
No. I made sure she was on another frame.
When are these swarm sales?
bits of pollen , no honey, mediocre brood pattern, low drone brood, small colony and plenty of space. Something is wrong
This was an early season package attempting to supersede its queen. Took cells down. Its now covering all 12 frames on 8/9 frames of brood. Just took the queen a while to get going.
@@BlackMountainHoney It looks like this was the abandoned colony you rescued on your 12 June 2020 video. If so, it's great to hear that the move ultimately worked out!
