A good way to clean a slot is to get some thin fabric (like an old dress shirt) and fold it around an old credit card. Soak the fabric in the deoxit and then work the card in and out of the slot. This works better than using the cartridge because the fabric holds a lot more liquid and also has a scrubbing action. We used to do this in the electronics factory where I had my first ever job :)

Kodak, where I used to work, we used to print photos 8x10 and turn them into jigsaws. We pealed the paper off the back so you can probably do the same with your marquee photos. I can't remember the knack to it, but you'll probably manage it.

On F-1 Race, I think I played a little bit of a ROM of it, it was fun! I believe it's also in the same series as Excitebike in the 'Programmable' series where you can design your own track and race on it!

I just got a road blaster for free on cl and a golden tee for 60 bucks both need work but I hope I can fix them the road blaster so far has a failed switching power supply and the golden tee has a monitor part that smokes when its turned on so I will keep watching your stuff I have found a new hobby lol

OK All - I pulled the board out and identified the microprocessor Integrated circuit (90-6013 according to the CC Manual). And placed the red test lead to top right and black lead to bottom left and I'm getting a little over 3 volts. So that means I need to either rebuild or replace the brick power supply right?

great video as always as far as the crystal Castles I had the same exact problem with mine I checked the voltages and the voltages were low causing the board to keep resetting as this one is the sound you are hearing is the sound when you turn the game on but it keeps repeating because it's resetting check the voltages

crystal castle, He diagnosed the problem when he said it was damp and it's smelling of urine, There is a short going on. John might be right when he says the ROMs but it's because there's water probably underneath the ROM sockets. so clean the board with isopropanol see if the ROM sockets and chips are wet clean them, clean the ROM with isopropanol leave to dry. same thing with electrolytic capacitors for dampness underneath remove clean dry maybe replace. should sort out your problem if it doesn't then you've got a corrupt ROM because of it. check all the boards for dampness.
Kevin Griffin yes let us know how it goes happy cleaning! when putting the ROMs back make sure you push them all the way! you can clean the legs of the ROMs with a eraser use the blue end for biro pen. You might find it hard to see! any moisture! because it will be underneath the socket legs, between the socket and the board. So I would say even cleaning with isopropyl might not remove the water, So from inside the socket? get some WD-40 and use the nozzle and spray around the entire edge of the socket from the Inside to out this will get rid of any water and WD-40 won't do any harm left on the board. Same if you're going to clean the legs of the ROMs before you put them back to get rid of any residue from the eraser, and we'll help them to slide in easier event prevent corrosion as well. and don't forget to check the IC's in their sockets? find a very flat screwdriver when removing or you could use a dinner fork, Ground down the end of the handle on one side so you can slide it underneath. be careful when leaving the chip out, Do not! push the remover tool in far!. You do not want to leave it on to the bored!! use the edge of the socket to Lever one end out at a time with a rocking motion.

Kevin Griffin so you saying that should be 5 volts just make sure you are testing it right, should be able to put the black lead on common ground? see if that gives you the same reading. what about if you adjust the pot for voltage, check the main electrolytic or anything close for the board filter capacitors for any water underneath if sorting out Will cause the voltage to drop. are you testing the output voltage not connected to any other boards leave a picture on your TH-cam channel or video I have a look
Hi John, I know you are zapped from Brofest 3 so when you get a chance can you check out the comments below from John Sweda and Arcade Freak 2016? They have been trying to help me, but I fear I'm a little bit unable to keep up with them and don't want to keep bothering them. I did everything you said and tested the voltage on the Microprocessor Integrated Circuit (90-6013 according to the specification manual) and I'm getting a little over 3volts. I also popped out the board and removed all the socketed integrated circuits, cleaned with alcohol, let it dry and then popped (carefully) all the circuits back in with the same result. No according to the CC Manual page 2-2 (Self Test). "If RAM fails, a sequence of seven beep sounds will be emitted from the game speakers and will be repeated." If you watch my video again, you can hear this sequence. And when you look at the related table 2-1 (in Manual), mine is emitting the code for a failed RAM at 6B (137198-001 according to specification). Could this be a false positive error if the board was not getting the correct voltage? Another question is how do I test that power supply when the board is not connected? Is there a way to do this with the old "Brick" Power Supplies? There doesn't seem to be any type of way to regulate the voltage like on the switching power supply (like in my Street Fighter II that I replaced). What should I do at this point???? Thanks again for any assistance. Kevykev

Quantum sounds like a game I would have trouble playing as a kid. I really didn't get far on games with trackballs (Centipede, Tempest, etc.)
