@@martinoutside Ah yes it's part of the Slide Mountain area I once hiked. I didn't get to Wittenberg, but I just might try it now that you mentioned it, thanks!
Hi so that's not part of the Breakneck Ridge trail. You'll want to park your car by the Washburn Trailhead that's close to the Breakneck trailhead and take the blue trail to the Ruins
@@thenatureseekerdudevitaliy97 So, I started my hike just like the video, where it's very steep. Got to the top (or so), enjoying the view of the river, and on the way down, I passed a couple of ruins. That's the blue trail, where the ruins are?
@@debbie_sp yes you can connect with the blue trail from that route. If you do it this way, then you'd start on breakneck ridge (white trail), head up until you hit the yellow turn (to your right), head down, then merge with the red/blue trail, then it'll split and you'll turn left to take the blue trail to the ruins.
Great informative video. I’ve climbed Beacon mountain from Beacon town and it was a nice hike!
Nice work!
This is my favorite hike in that area, thanks for sharing
You're most welcome! If you have any other recommendations, I'm always open to learn about new trails in the area.
Wittenberg in the Catskills is my favorite 3500’s

Thank you for this I went through the long loop where I went thru the breakneck ridge and then the bypass to wilk
I hiked down passing the ruins.. which trail is that? I want to do it again with a friend and I want to show her the ruins. Thanks!

@@thenatureseekerdudevitaliy97 Thank you so much!
Nothing like hiking in a cattle line of people who never went hiking before. I would never go to this place on a weekend
Worst timing on that yes, but on weekdays, it's pretty clear most of the day. I'd start super early too.
I did who white line till tower with only 1 liter bottle 😂 it’s kinda easy not that hard
What month?
