I have been having this experience a lot in my new house. The other day a guy walked up with his kid and said "My dad used to build r/c planes too. It looks like you're using a lot more metal than him though". I told him the deal and he was pretty excited after. LOL
Did your instructions for riveting the ribs to the spar state four AN470AD4-5’s instead of six? This is for ribs 13 and 14 on each side. It has six holes but it states you need to attach it with four rivets which perplexes me. It doesn’t even state which four holes to use out of the six.
Want a safe reliable one already built, they’re about 250,000$. Want to just get on with your life and travel, buy complete. Want to spend five to ten years putting rivets together, ugh hotel room prices will be twice as high by the time your done.
Thanks for including the neighbor exchange - tell ‘em it’s a Time Machine next time :)
😂
I just started watching these videos! I hope I'm able to build a Vans someday :) . Also, love the video!
Awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing the gotchas along the way (and silly moments like the clecos going for a swim)
Glad to watch the new video, i enjoy watching your build. Wish there wasnt so long of a delay, but hey life happens.

When do you project completion/first flight?
Are these van kits expensive compared to just buying it finished ?
