Many players go from Serbian teams (Crvena zvezda, Partizan) to NBA and I really enjoy watching them. Like Marjanovic, Bijelica, etc. This game was like a holiday to me even with a loss, European and American basketball are just two types of basketball and we are not good enough for that. But being behind the most 'basketball-ish' country in the world, I think that's a big thing by itself.

The Serbian plays beautiful team work, they just lack in individual strength. Team USA is lucky to have Kyrie and Harden who had craftsmanship talent. Basketball is not just a show of physical strength tho.

Serbians act as if an amazing basketball IQ will win over any other brand of basketball. Maybe so, but, I have yet to see a defeat based on better basketball IQ on one side of the court. The Usa were better especially in 3 pointers and physical strength, while Serbia showed some great basketball too. Saying that Serbia is bad at basketball is similar to saying that Argentina is bad at football, both things are nonsense. Lost Curry (who never found his international play) and Davis (Don't really need him at all). You got a hungry Lowry coming off the bench (instead of a hobbled Rose), the most athletic big man on the planet (Jordan) and Barnes/Derozan playing cheerleader. Wow
This is certainly one of Team USA's best efforts on the international stage. Kyrie and DeMarcus emerged here as two of the greatest players of all-time. The Serbs are tough as nails and brought out the very best in the Americans. Respect Serbian hoops and love the Croats, and long for the days of Yugoslavia basketball when they routinely beat the Russians and supplied so many greats to the NBA. Long live basketball!
Yes Serbia is smaller but have a long basketball tradition yes usa won but much respect to team Serbia for playing very hard and tough give usa a run early but my boys eventually turned it up in the end

This was practically USA dream team. Davis, Curry and Harden were all selected as top 5 players of this season. Curry was MVP of the NBA. The only one that was missing was Lebron James. This team USA would trash any NBA team by 20 points so Serbia actually didn't look so bad at all.

The FIBA tournament was held before Golden States championship run meaning that Curry, and Thompson haven't broken out yet.
