SHH! here's my super secret other channel where I put my other videos / @riggsreviews
Im from Sacramento and recognzie that sign immediately. Cool to see them getting some exposure. I checked out that store maybe 2 years ago. Also, if anyone is checking it out, the dumpling restaurant aceoss the street called Dumpling House is 🔥.
My favorite store in NorCal! Travis is such a down to earth guy and always wants what’s best for his customers. Everyone needs to visit this shop ASAP!
It's a great store and cool part of town.
Right on, you’re in my neck of the woods! One of my favorite game stores here in Sacramento.
Oh man if you're still in Sacramento, hit up the flea market off Folsom Blvd. They have an entire alley of retro games.
Also Armageddon Potato Game is a warehouse store in West Sacramento.
I lived in Sacramento and picked up a handful of games from this place. Cool to see a video of you there. Big Brother comics is also an awesome shop right up the street.
Oh wow, I live in Sacrameto and have never heard of this place! I'll have to check it out now.
Great place, it’s a trip that it’s wide open, like he said, because there’s usually hella homeless in the area.
It's in east sac. It's pretty nice
J and 24th
It’s in Midtown on J Street. I’m an Uber driver. I pass by it every day.
What’s the secret to being as happy as you
Suppression :) Naw, I have a lot of chaos in my life and have been through so much personally that stuff like this is my happy place.
@@JohnRiggsdude, thanks so much for sharing that happy place with us, as well as taking us to all of these awesome places!
I know!, that positivity is great
Eating good
Been there a couple times. It's a nice place.
Dave's Retro Games inside the Folsom Blvd Flea Market (in Sacramento) that has a TON of retro games (NES, Gameboy, Sega, etc). They're only open Saturday and Sunday but definitely check them out if you're still in town
Before I left Sacramento, I sold my collection to 1-Up Retro. I'd frequent it because I lived in Midtown, super chill place and atmosphere; it's the key reason I wanted my collection to go there. I think I actually saw my complete copy of Golden Axe 2 in the case in this video.
Looks like a fun store! Love the variety! 🔥
My town… always wanted to go in the store and you beat me to it.
SAME
Hell yes brother representing the sacramento gaming scene
Check out gamers in Lodi. Then go downtown for a nice dinner. Secret gem of the Central Valley 🤫
Want to go to that type of video game store but these are not available in my state.
there are two other stores in sac that are great as well. "Fair game" and "Computer Booter" both have a great retro inventory.
Fair Game in Carmichael has prices that are on par with or higher than DKOldies just an FYI.
The real best place in the area is Fire and Ice Games in Rocklin. Love from 916
Awesome store bro! Thanks for sharing your adventures at the store John!👍
I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year 2025 John! 🎆
Great video John. I enjoy your videos exploring little game shops in various towns. Same goes for MetalJesusRocks and RadicalReggie. I live over in Inland Northwest, so I'm close to guys.
Rampart for SNES was a favorite of mine back in the early 90s, now that i have kids i wish there was something similar to that we could enjoy as a family.
I'm about an hour away, I think I've been twice. Very chill environment, my brother and sister seemed to like it.
3:29 beast wars on DVD awesome!!!
Hey John! Great content as always my dude!!
I appreciate it. Thanks!
I love that store. I been going there ever since they opened years ago.
ive visited this place on work travels, its a cool spot downtownish
9:26 I would def grab that Cookie Monster Wii mote cover and game combo
oh hey! I almost went here but I heard the good stuff was at the convention. It was great seeing you again!
My local shop love the store staff are always friendly and prices are fair
I've been there. It's a nice place. Sacto on the map.
Fun fact, this is the same town that CGQ is from. I was supposed to meet him at Old Town but haven’t had a chance to
Fair Game Retro is better, but 1UP is OK too. Cool to see you stop in Sac!
Fair Game is my go-to as well!
Fair Game is great if you are a fan of price gouging and being taken advantage of on trades 🤷♂️
Love this shop!
I love my Rigged algorithm… another great vid.
John are we able to purchase your merch online for overseas delivery? Say Australia, where I am?
7:13 fighters destiny 2 is the best fighter next to Mace the dark age. worth getting an arcade stick for
8:29 I had to do a double take. That Mighty Bomb Jack artwork is mighty similar to Rygar on NES.
Yo Riggs! If you ever find yourself in northeast Florida stop by Games Galore.
😮Dibs on the copy of Cookie's Counting Carnival.😂
That’s fairly close to me. I need to check it out!
Someone working at a retro store recommended the Silent Hill HD collection? I have some questions...
I love that place!
Riggs back at it on the hunt
Hey Mr. Riggs. Why do some of my NES games work but then wont get past the menu. I play on a retron nes system
Fair Game retro is also a great spot!!!💯💪
Great store, live close to it.
Looks like a fun store to check out😊
Hey that's 3 blocks from my apartment! Nice John
Hi Riggs , looks like a cool store 😁
1-up is an awesome place to visit if you’re a retro gamer.
Pretty cool store! Kinda wish there were more around me haha
Need to find dark wizard for the Sega CD. Anyone out know where I can find a copy, I'd be greatly appreciated
I've heard of this place! some of my longtime sac friends have been there. (and they would absolutely co-sign the recommendation on The Guardian Legend!) I missed my chance after moving to the opposite end of the state, but seems like a pretty cool shop.
Hey that's my city. Didn't even stop to say hello.
I'll have to check that place out! Next video will be fair games up north?
Xbox titles in the dairy section. Nice.
WTH I'm like 45 minutes north of Sac and never heard of this place!
I wish I had a rental place 😂 good times
Eyyyyyy he's up in my town! I've been to 1-Up a couple times actually. You live around here, John?
I used to live right by this store wow
Be vewy vewy quiet...John is hunting for video games 🐰
I took my two year old here and she had a meltdown when I wouldn’t buy her the $200 Super Mario Lego playset! Oh and it used to be a cool, quirky antique shop probably about 10 years ago. Sorry that’s all I got.
Yeah Ironsword is a great game love the soundtrack
I dont understand why every shop has the same master system games I can never find anything different in the wild
They’re pretty rare and hard to find buying them online is probably your best bet
Thats usually what i end up having to do @matthewnikitas8905
I dont think they are really rare just not as popular as NES was i had one as a kid instead of a NES @matthewnikitas8905
Oh shit sactown in the house
CyberMorph ... where did you learn how to fly ?
classic
"Dethaw" lol...
haha right, I used to live in So Cal and thought I knew what cold was. I moved to 7500ft elevation...i did not know what cold was!
I use too love the old avengers games
If you were to De-Thaw yourself, you'd be freezing yourself. Not sorry hehheh. Awesome video!
haha, yep... didn't come out right
Have you tried fair trade? Or game trader? Game trader in south sac has retro refurbished consoles for $105 Dreamcast, Saturn, etc
Not yet. I only had time to check out a couple of stores when I was in town.
Hey I got a copy of fist of the North Star on Xbox 360 there this last Father’s Day
Nice!
It's not a great store sadly. Their arcade cab was overdriving the monitor with raster lines for months. Every time I came in and told them and offered to even fix it for them, then I came in one day and it had blown.
Other times, I've inquired about a few items without prices on them and they'll just price them off of the day's eBay listings. I know it's hard to run a brick & mortar store, but they're just trying to charge as much as possible.
Sacramento! I'm a bit west of there. Hope you didn't get shot at or your car broken into while you were there lol...😬
3:56 incorrect. There are lots of options these days. Unless by "whatever thing" you meant a computer. In which case, you are right.
Light The Beam!
you need to try out the Chromatic saw your gameboy video with metal jesus
Did you pick up any gems?
I live right by there!
😅 ahh yea I must of missed you because I could hear my annoying voice. Must be when I’m trading off some of my collection. Well we do have other game stores. One particular is more nerdy than that store.
Damn , when did Mike Tyson punch out become a $50 game ?
Awesome
oh look I bought a randon box off a homeless man for 20 bux, and omg 3 tmnt tournament fighters and 8 little samsons.
That big open garage door turns me off. I am just imagining all the paper and cardboard slowly get moisture damage from humid air on rainy days. Staples in manuals slowly starting to rust. Me no likey.
I've been collecting ps1 games over the past few years, 100s and 100s, and I have seen manuals that on the outside the manual staples are fine, but in the middle are completely rusted. Everything else about the manual looks fine. So now I just assume the tiniest bit of moisture can ruin this stuff.
Cool 🎮
$75 For a skeletor print? To rich for my blood.
Didya buy anything?
I didn't this time. I often do but nothing I needed.
Wow, something awesome in Sacramento?
haha, I like Sac!
I wouldn't mind learning a little Japanese just to kinda recognize what I'm tring to read lmao
BIG RIGGS
*looks up Kung Fu Master for Game Boy* = $35 :/
How many Nintendo fanboys are there on TH-cam masquerading as content creators?
literally all of them.
This place sucks, no good games and overpriced
Woah sega gear sonic blast cib is rarest!
