    About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

      You’re welcome
The dialect is very different from the one I am familiar with. I definitely had to listen to several times to figure out what he said.
And that curse he gave Archie is not one that I ever heard as well.

I had an aunt and uncle who would only buy Zenith. Even in the early 1990's when Japanese technology was far superior and Zenith was in financial trouble and was the only U.S. company making TV's, they ran around looking to see if they could find a Zenith.
My parents always had an RCA until Japanese technology became better and then they had a Sharp. I remember my father laughing at my aunt and uncle searching all over for a Zenith because he knew it was no longer a good brand.

The term "running your .mouth" goes back a lot longer than I would've thought. The term was commonly used in the 1990s, and I had always been under the impression it very recently originated from rap, hip-hop or house music.

No one can repair flat panels themselves. WTF are you talking about! Modern TV's get replaced with new ones (whether we like it or not). Surface-mount solid state circuit boards prevent user-serviceability at home. The upside to non-repairable modern TV's is they can run for decades without a breakdown vs the old TV's with tubes breaking down twice within a year or so as was the case in the 1990's and earlier.

Mr. Levy couldn't be Orthodox; he isn't wearing a kippah - not even one blended in by color with his hair, like Ben Shapiro. Also, it's funny seeing things like this, clips from Porky's, etc. in which they were portraying Jews as stereotypically olive-skinned with black hair, while there were Jews in the main casts who were indistinguishable from anyone else.

    • @msr1116

@@backforblood3421 ... Although, Jews have convincingly passed for Italians ... Henry Winkler, Brad Garrett and the gal who played Val on The Nanny.... come to mind. I would assume Norman Lear, as a Jew himself, had some say in matters of casting actors in these very specific roles for maximum authenticity--at least in his mind.
