  • Aliza Gulalai, a 15-year old Pakistani girl from a conservative Pashtun family, stood up against her entire family to live life on her own terms. As a straight-A student, she showed great potential in academics and career achievement, and she chose to enlist in the army. But in a family where hardly any girl ever made it to high school, Aliza had to fight hard for her dreams. Despite their crippling financial situation, her mother has been the only support when it comes to bracing against familial and societal pressure.

@@protectkashmirmovementboyc7252 ...First of all, AsSalamualaikum my brother Imaad. Yes I agree. But now Pakistan can begin to come closer to its' Islamic roots and culture inshAllah. I remember over 25-30 years ago, most of the media in Turkey was as bad as in the US and Europe. We all struggled for years, some of us were put in jail, many of us were persecuted...but elhamdülillah, for the past 15-20 years we can see the fruit of our jihad. Now we have a media that is fair to Islamic culture, and most of the Turkish people are being reminded of the value of Islam and are making the choice to be better Muslims inshAllah. Today, Pakistan has a good brother that can support it in this area. InshAllah we will both benefit from our ongoing brotherhood in Islam, and have many other countries join us in the advancement of Islamic values and culture...Amin 🤲
Also, it is a dream of mine to visit Pakistan one day. Make Dua for me :)

About Burkha/Hijab, I will give you an example, an Australian super model reverted to Islam, Al hamdulillah, (just google her story), she wears a hijab Masha Allah cause only a women knows the importance of her self respect and modesty. I’m from Mardan too and same was the case for my sisters too back in 1990s. My maternal side (all men but no women) were all high qualified so my mother was favoring women education (though she couldn’t get the chance to attend school herself due to family restrictions and Pashtoon culture yet she always admired educated women and always wished to educate her eleven 11 children). She fought for women education against society, AND stood for boys education against husband (bcz my father wanted us to work n earn). I do still remember all the hardships we had been through. We were left out by everyone especially from paternal side. Alhamdulilah! now all of us are well educated, two of my five brothers graduated from Sweden 🇸🇪 on high excellence academic scholarship. And I’m personally doing bachelors studies from Italy 🇮🇹 on scholarship. All the haters turned our admirers eventually, especially of my mother. I am so blessed to have such an amazing mother. Wallah!... And YES! all my six sisters are highly educated now.

The description of the video is slightly incorrect, based on the video her family did support her decision but her relatives did not so she did not go against her own family but her own relatives. The word family would also include her parents. A salute to her and her family for supporting her decision.
