I know a lot of people like Scarlet Johanson and every girl is beautiful in her own way but Penelope is so natural and gentle her beauty just outshines everyone around
Shows how much people suffer when they allow their emotions to rule them instead of their thought. Emotion and passion must be there but it must know its place and life must be balanced
Can be seen from different perspectives. Though I completely understand your thoughts, I have to say that passion and emotion are what gives life some sort of taste and will to go on. It's complicated because I also agree with your opinion on the importance of control. I think they're no right answer to what's best between passion and control.
I think these moments are the charms in life, the moments that set your soul on fire. Vicki didn't know what that felt like before meeting him, her relationship is dull and grey. She was dull and grey. He shook her and breathed some life at her dull existence. I think she felt alive, its not that her heart was broken, she just longed for more of the chills he gave her. After all, they don't fit as a coupleat all, as she points out. Lust and excitement. I think the humoristic and ironic message in this, is that all people have bumps in the road, which should make you change direction, but we continue on the same path that we feel safe driving anyway.
Control is an illusion believed only by those who blindly persist to remain ignorant. Emotions are not meant to be controlled. Passion is not meant to be tamed. Love is not meant to be understood.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona turns 15! One of my favorites by Woody Allen in his filmography 4 amazing leads in here; Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, and my first introduction to Rebecca Hall Woody Allen knows his actors and his characters Everything works here from the dialogue exchanges to the directing to the acting to the beauty of Barcelona as a backdrop full of inspiration and cultural significance The trick is to live life not accept it, there's no need to constantly put labels on everything, there's a difference between being in love and loving someone, can only unfulfilled love be romantic? There's plenty of reminiscing about the subjects of love, romance, sex, marriage, and what we actually look for in life to fully satisfy us This is mainly about the fascinations and complications of entering into a bohemian's lifestyle Very grounded in reality with both of these women feeling like real people juggling human relationships Allen succeeds yet again with great actors in a lush, exotic setting
Ayer por la noche ví esta pélicula. Realmente me encanto, tiene muy buenos diálogos, momentos y conceptos sobre ciertas cosas muy ciertas. Un grande Woody Allen.
If soulmates do exist then mine is a cross between Scarlett's character Cristina in this movie and Mary Wollstonecraft. However, while admire Cristina for her courage I would never want to share my soulmate with anyone.
I saw this at the movies and thought what a piece of crap. Watching the film today 18 March 24... I have an entirely new perspective on this art house film This film is really fun. Great work I'm happy that I decided to watch again Cheers TH-cam
As someone who lives in Barcelona, this movie (from the clip) seems to show nothing about the real culture of the city (or the Catalan culture). This is a shame in my opinion, because the city and the Catalan culture is extremely rich (from art and architecture, to food and music) yet it shows none of this. For me, personally, this is very sad given that this has a famous cast and director and therefore this movie will be watched by many. There is not alot of Hollywood movies based in Barcelona, and for the city and Catalan culture to be so misrepresented is a shame.
Hola!
+#JLP I know right? it's totally fucked up! I don't give a shit if people think I'm not open minded, but if open minded means it's ok to fuck a stranger and think that I fell in love with him and let another girl fuck him too? Then FUCK THAT SHIT, I'M CLOSED MINDED AND I'M PROUD OF IT.
I found it to be a pointless film about pointless people Not literally pointless, but so divorced from reality as to render any point childish It is a privileged high school student's imaginings of adult life Or maybe something a middle aged suburban house wife would read in a romance novel back when that was a thing
I watched this because thought that it was about an adventure in Barcelona where I want to go, with just a little bit of romantic comedy. But it was completely cheesy, oversweet touristy romance that didn't have any originality or sharpness to it. The guy there talked with so ridiculously stereotypical pick up lines that after watching I thought it was a parody, like Naked Gun or something. I did like the acting of both female characters, although the story was awful and couldn't believe that they don't get tired of this cheesy guy, and Penelope Cruz'es character was the only not overly boringromantic and a little bit energizing element to it. Otherwise, be warned. It is nothing about Barcelona, just an American tourist impression of non-minimalist sweetness and cheesy pick up lines
It´s not about sharpness, it´s about irony and Allen is partly playing with all these cliches and partly taking them seriously and that´s what makes this movie more realistic for me than a Bergmann film (just as an example), I guess you missed the whole point but never mind, it's just my opinion
This movie is basically a remake of a better movie. Anyone remember the name of the original movie? Perhaps not a remake but there’s an old movie where a guy a two women have a love triangle in Italy I think. Movie was really good if I remember right. Wish I could find it again.
I need to always double check the film directors because as soon as the unnecessary narration came into play, I just knew it was a Woody Allen film. The movie would have been 10x better without it...guess woody allen style isn't it for me
kinda unique movie.. i watched this bcos i saw there are so many hollywood stars appearing in this film especially The Black Widow and Mr. Raoul Silva, i am not a typically romance drama though.. quite boring at the middle.. i can't say there is so many life-lessons in this movie, but they have quite good lines i think.. "only unfulfilled love can be romantic".. the words that came from bastard's mouth.. LOL
It says Barcelona in the title, but it doesn't mean that. The amount of fucks not given about location in this movie is upsetting: they're just throwing Gaudi in your face, and think they're good.
I know a lot of people like Scarlet Johanson and every girl is beautiful in her own way but Penelope is so natural and gentle her beauty just outshines everyone around
Exactly
They both Shine I would call that a Tie . P. Cruz is and will always be Beautiful same as Scarlet J.

I can't believe it's already more than 10 years ago when i watched it, unfortunately with my mom, at the theatre!
B.P. DHANA so did I 😂
I did too, with my dad
And I have no fucking idea why
@@Hex488 in my case, dad tend to be more 'open-minded', so that could be less awkward (or not wkwkwk)

Dead as hell
No kidding!
The most expensive 3-some of all time.
The movie.
ahaha thx paul
I kept thinking that Scarlett's role was intended for Heather Graham.
Am I the only one who finds Rebecca hall absolutely stunning...
No:)
She does in some ways steal the show in this movie as the best character to watch
She’s gorgeous, great actress too, I can’t take my eyes off her in this movie.
I think so yes but only in comparison to young Scarlett! Rebecca is clearly also gourgous.
no
Javier Bardem is so cool in this movie.
He should make more romantic movies.
He was very likable in Eat, Pray, Love. I think it is a very underrated film.
I fell in love with Penelope Cruz’s character since I saw Vanilla Sky.
Well Said.
She always plays the same charecter.

It’s so many fanfics with this plot. I just love this movie.
I watched this as a kid and absolutely did not get it! But now I'm 30 and I'm gonna watch it again.
Did you get it this time around? I'm wondering whether to give it a second shot or not :)
For a uni homework we have to look for steretypes of cultures in the media. i'll just show this trailer
Do better. Check out the trailer of Lawrence of Arabia.
I feel that. Living in Barcelona for 10 years I hated how lazy and misleading this movie is in portraying it

A beautiful travel film, filled with exquisite scenery.
Easily enjoyed with the sound turned off.
Follow with Eat Pray Love.
Javier is always dreamy.
Luckily not a woody's fan, so i can truly appreciate the great work of visual treatment and artistry in this movie. It's absolutely delicious treat 😋😋
