Bro you are still in your Belgaum which has domestic airport no seaport, very few skyscrapers etc.
As Mangalore has International airport and seaport, NITK which even Bangalore doesn't have, best petrochemical refineries in India, best places to hangout after Bangalore, luxurious lifestyle and cars revenue that comes from gulf countries and Mumbai as 3/4 of the people settled there. There is a ongoing project where it is going to have tallest skyscraper in South India. Education and Universities are the source of income as it has highest literacy level in Karnataka and if you want become a doctor then Mangalore Universities are the best in Karnataka. As per Mangalore city cooperation the city has around 1 million population in 2020.
