    I'm glad to see it's still a happening town to visit! My wife and I were there back in the mid 80's. And I remember on that Saturday it was jammed full of people. The home values have soared in this area! Use to be able to get a nice house in the $50k range. Even with inflation added in it's very expensive. Great video!

      Thanks. House and land prices are getting ridiculous around all of the tourist towns.
      Black Mountain definitely gets crowded with tourists. That’s why I went early to show it as it is

    Nice tour, Timothy! Black Mountain's streetscape attentiveness seems to have waned greatly. What's up with those gritty, grimy sidewalks? They never used to look like that before! Many a storefront there needs to be repainted/refreshed, and this too is something that never used to be the case. Wow!

      It could use some refreshing and a good power washing But the town was clean and the flowers were nice. 👍

    It seems like Black Mountain has quite a bit going on for a small town. Well done tour. Thanks.

    Fairy hair is when they take strips of glittery or metallic strands of stringy material and they tie it to the roots tops of your real hair. It makes your hair look like it’s shiny with different color strands. Little girls like having fairy hair. It stays in a few months, you wash your hair normally.

      Thank you. I thought it might be cotton candy. Shows how much I know. 😜

    Hope you stopped at Kilwin’s and got some fudge, they’ve got all kinds and it’s so good. They also will ship it to wherever you want as well if you live far from the area or want to send it as a gift. There’s also a cool t-shirt shop down there with retro and novelty t-shirts called Shirtmandude. We love those huge rocking chairs down there. Around Veterans Day they have a town parade which is always nice to go to.

      I did not get any fudge that day but I will be back. And thanks for the t-shirt tip.

    I love Black Mountain. It's convenient to both Asheville and Marion, but is a great town in its own right. It's not cheap though!

    Cool channel my man. What has been your favorite town so far? If money was no object what town would you live in? Im gonna be visiting next week to do some fishing.

      f you want to live in a small town with very nice homes in a cool location, I would choose Biltmore Forest near Asheville.
      But for me personally, I would choose to live in the small town of Hot Springs north of Asheville or Maggie Valley west of Asheville.
      I would choose Winston-Salem in the Piedmont area of North Carolina if I wanted to live in a city.
      Another cool town is Southern Pines in the Sandhills area.
      And finally, Ocracoke on the outer banks to get away from it all.
      I have already shot videos for Southern Pines, Hot Springs, Winston-Salem and Asheville. The Asheville video will go live next Saturday. And I still need to do Maggie Valley, Biltmore Forest and Ocracoke.

      @@TimothyFrench thanks for that bud! Where would you rank this place Black Mountain in this?

    • @TimothyFrench
      @TimothyFrench  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BJJandBS I like Black Mountain. But it lies close to the interstate and you may hear road noise at night. I don’t know this for sure but it seems likely in some areas of town. This may not be a issue for others but it would be for me.

      @@TimothyFrench fair enough! Thanks for the reponses. Im actually looking for a place to either build or buy right now for a summer place. Leaning towards Banner Elk so far but gonna spend all of next month up there lookin around. What other town would you say is coolest in the summer and has that Banner ELk vibe? And isn't full of liberals if thats not asking too much. Have you been to Waynesville yet?

    • @TimothyFrench
      @TimothyFrench  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BJJandBS i haven’t been to Waynesville yet. Beech Mountain would be my choice for a cool summer home. Blowing Rock is also one I would look at.

      This week we’re gonna be in the mid 90s. Summer is still alive and well. Probably won’t be until End of September when it starts to stay cool.

      Been there several times. It's the greatest! Very friendly and inclusive. I've thought of moving there myself. Expensive I know but so is Durham where I currently live. Also no crime there which is a far cry from what we are dealing with here

    Can you tell us some of the stuff that’s in the windows stop being you do good videos but the downside to them you don’t give us any leisurely time to look and see what you look and see at we don’t have a clue what you’re talking about other than the three seconds that’s in thisfilm
