Jase details an awkward bathroom situation in an airport bathroom, but Phil’s advice to him isn’t very practical for traveling. It's blowing my mind right now because I seriously got way too close to stepping on a rattlesnake yesterday morning during a hike at brushy peak in Livermore CA.
I moved my foot at the last second, and thank God he didn't strike my leg because he was coiled up and I definitely scared him.

When you, Jase say we do not focus enough on what we are saved to, i agree. I think it would help to reframe "saved from our sins" to a more accurate "saved from God's wrath" which puts an emphasis of being reconciled to God whom we have sinned against. See Romans 6:9-11

Those ducks were on Golden Pond. You think Wyoming is no man's land, where I grew up, Guymon, Oklahoma, was said to be no man's land because it was said to be Indian country. Abilene and Odessa, Texas is snake country in Texas. Rattler snakes. One time, I mowed this lady's back yard and she told me she had snakes in her backyard. I said, I'll do it. I don't care. I must have killed a dozen of them back there. This was Borger, Texas, in the Panhandle. They were living back there among weeds. She paid me ten dollars.
After making plans, how can you obey the scriptures when declaring what will happen in the future without the condition of whether or not it is God's will ?
When you plan to go to the local university campus and witness to students, do you say ' if it is God's will, I will go ' - ' if it is God's will, they will hear ' - if it is God's will, they will believe ' ? ? ?
If then, every future event that you suppose to consider, is to be conditioned by whether or not it is God's will then you should be confident in knowing that everything that should have happened has already happened and everything that should happen in the future, will happen .
That is the premise of the promise of - don't be anxious for anything because all things work for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose .
How you can you actually believe and live that, if God is not in total control of EVERYTHING ? How can it be true if God is not in control of EVERYTHING ?
Do you live in an uncertain and chaotic world in which you have fears about dangers all around ? You should if you don't believe that God is in total control of EVERYTHING .
If you don't believe that God is in COMPLETE control then how can you believe or even understand the verses that tell you to condition everything in your future upon whether it is God's will or not . And how can you really find it possible to NEVER be anxious about ANYTHING . And how can you really believe that ALL things work for good for those who love God ... ? ? ?
The fact is, there is no way for all these things to be true unless God is in complete control and has predestined His purpose in every segment from the beginning to the end of time ?
Don't you know why Jesus spoke to them in parables ? It is because it was NOT God's will for them to understand .
No one is saved UNLESS God reveals Himself . God chooses whom He will reveal Himself for His own purposes . Romans 9 .

11 And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
