- Late night update! I don’t usually film on my travel days since I’m just too wiped out to do it, but today we decided to since we got a great haul of produce donations from Publix! So here’s a short little update from today!

About keeping some veggies fresh without and with refrigerator. Leafy veggies are like fresh cut flowers. Snip off the ends and place in water. They will hydrate and soak up water. I am a gardener and keep my leafy veggies and asparagus fresh this way until I get them through the processing and either into my stomach or into the freezer. It doesn't work as well with what has been setting out past their prime but it will help. I have refreshed some older veggies this way.

Around here (New England) we laugh about wild turkeys who have a reputation for being a bit crazy. So, I am particularly fond of Comet who seems like a cool guy. I love how he follows you and loves to get scritches.😊

Sounds like the coati hut I ordered for you from Amazon came in. Just wanted to make sure you got it. Thank goodness you get produce donations. That must be very helpful. My wife, Tracie and I met you at the first Animal Con. I was riding the red scooter lol. We talked at GatorLand too when your “friend” showed up. Saw you at Animal Con last year too. You brought Asami I assume. Your sanctuary has come a long way since then! ❤

Just a thought..perhaps you’re aware…but,
Wondering if you guys could get a bit of help with some of your chores? Perhaps think about reaching out to local places that would do a “volunteer basis” for vet interns or something of the sort, retiree’s, animal lovers, if you will. Reach out to your community for outside resources. To help give you & Gabby some relief in between your caring for your animals. A few trusted people to help prep the animals meals or whatever other duties that consume so much of your time in ea. day. I don’t know what it would entail on liability on your property with doing such a thing? But maybe look into it for some sort of assistance?? You know best what has to be done and what would be best suited for outside help and those tasks that you personally need to tend to. (Meaning with higher liability aspects)
Hope this is helpful, feel bad you both are feeling tired and overloaded. Yes these animals are worth your dedication!
But keep in mind.. if you break down from exhaustion. You’ll be less good to those creatures you love and care for. Also, you don’t want to be exhausted and slip while tending to your gators.
Things will get better and you’ll get better adjusted in time. But you can’t keep up with it ALL! Just you two, over the long haul, especially as you grow into that 40 acres!!

I've seen, at Monkey World, they sometimes pair up two different species for companionship, when they only have one of a critter. Might be hard with how tiny he is, Jet suggests just let Clover live with him.

I think the reason Jett is constipated is bc a lot of his food gets sooo much sand on it and is causing the constipation. Just like w beardies on sand that can get impaction from ingesting sand on their food. That’s what I think is happening w Jett. Especially y’all say he buries his food then eats it. Just in the videos alone a lot of sand gets on his food that he ingests.
He’s not constipated. He actually has not been in over a year. It happened once, we thought it was happening again and after we did an entire work up at the vet, we realized he was an anemic. It had nothing to do with constipation. We explained it more in detail and another video.

Chris goes to other countries multiple times a year. Often for two weeks at a time. In fact in October, he was gone for almost a month in Thailand.
Can you put Jet in w/ the other foxes??
I think he is too small and a way different sub species. Jet even eats at night vs. day like the red foxes.

I really used to prefer your you tube normal cover photographs.
I'm sure editing and adding all these unrealistic looking creatures onto an existing video is a lot of extra unnecessary work. It's looking a bit gimmicky, like so many other websites.
I preferred the original plain way your videos were shown in the icons. That's just me. Are there any other avid watchers who feel this way, or am I the only one?
Still it's a wonderful job you guys are doing and the life you are providing. NO OFFENSE is meant at all. It's just an honest observation that's all.
