I both hate and love how they let you fight Ustanak this way. Love the feel of playing melee against a Tyrant type enemy but hate how much disregard it has for the lore and how it shits all over Ustanak’s menace as an antagonist. Like it says several time in game that although Jake inherits Albert’s viral resistance, he did not gain any of his special abilities (or “superpowers” as Jake says to Sherry in Chapter 2).
Bloodshots are easiest to counter in this game. Their lunging attack gives a lot of time to press the counter button unlike other attacks from most other zombies. The jumping zombies are probably are the second easiest, but it's easy to get the timing wrong with jumping zombies unlike bloodshots. As for other enemies, I find it very hard to counter them, so I just stun and shoot them down instead. In the campaign, countering a jumping zombie also risks getting jumped by another zombie just as your counter animation is over, so in crowd control situations I find it easier to just waste my ammo from distance instead.
BTW, you didn't include the counter at the elevator wire climbing part(Leon Chapter 5) where Ada is supposed to help by shooting the Simmons. When Simmons gets close, you can press []+X, then R1(on PS3 obv) and Leon would kick the beast and drop him down.
U do enough counters you should be able to earn a grunt weapon specific auto execution...i pray they know by re 5 remake to add this feature..every member deserves a style with a weapon class and non lethal focused..co op grabs are coming im sure..if knifes are destructible by chainsaw guy or weapons are crit reversed by villagers fight to take guns in clinch grab or crit grab the main player hard mode should be an absolute blast for 2 players.. holster mode should be allowable simply because players can get shot by they own gun or drop weapons when not careful..I love the re 4 remake redesign...

The melee system is easily the best part of the whole game.
I believe there's melee weapon unique counters as well. Like Chris/Leon's knife and Sherry's stun rod.
