When I was 10-12 I watched him religiously and I remember how bad he would make me feel watching those “rate me” videos. I literally took everything he had said for truth (I was 10-12 ofc I did) the obsession for looking “perfect” became so bad for me that I’d have panic attacks AT 10 YEARS OLD because I thought I didn’t look pretty. Reminds me of my friend and her college roommate. They left their dorm on horrid terms. She had posted drama all over social media, which made us quite aware of what was happening. My friend took a few of us to an alumni event years later and I brought up her roommate. She had NO idea who I was talking about, even when we gave details. She cared so little about her, hated her so much, she pushed her out of existence. Really weird, especially when we didn’t even go to college with her and we have a clearer memory of her own roomie experience. The brain can truly be an enigma.
