Wow you found some amazing items. I agree with you I always shop my home and my things from room to room before I go out and purchase things. I even re-paint items that I no longer they’ll meet my needs and it’s like a brand new piece. That coffee table book is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing and have an amazing day
Thanks! Sounds like we are cut from the same cloth when it comes to our approach to decorating a space. It is amazing how you can breath new life into items you already have.
So many beautiful items, Keri! Using the mirrored candle sticks as faux lamps is a great idea! I've never seen a citrus juicer like that before. What an awesome find! You've found some beautiful items and I love your ideas for various uses. I'm looking forward to the garage sale video! TFS and have a wonderful evening! 💕💕💕
Thanks! I had never seen a citrus juicer like that either....that's why I just had to add it to my dish collection. I can't wait to see how everything comes together as well. I am just as surprised as you all because I really have no idea what I am going to end up with.
You picked up some nice items! Love the baskets! The botanical prints are nice! I'm sure everything will complement your existing decor. Thanks so much for sharing!
Keri your candles is very pretty.I like how you made lamps out of them. How can you take old lamp and make candle holders out of them?Have a bless week.
No particular Goodwill, I have to visit many Goodwills, and visit often to find 1 gem. I think a common misconception that people have is that you walk into a Goodwill and find a whole host of beautiful things. Majority of the time I walk out empty handed. That is also what frustrates some people, not finding anything when they go. Some folks would rather go to a regular store and pay full price to get what they want and need right then and there instead of "hunting" for their treasures. There is no right or wrong way. I just like the thrill of the hunt :)
@@verikeri2849 I should have said where are you located. I've been shopping in Goodwill for 50+ years. I know that Goodwill....Salvation Army stores are feast or famine ... sometimes you want to buy everything😍😍😍..and then uh ed re are times when you walk out empty handed😥😥😥😢😢😢....
Nice Haul . Keri what are you going to do with that extra large basket ? I have very large one also that have not used it as yet. Curious to know how your planning to use it . TFS
I am going to use it as a catch all basket that I am going to put at the bottom of my steps in the family room. At the end of each evening, all items that do not belong downstairs will be deposited into the basket and then before going to bed, we will take it upstairs and put the items where they belong. In the morning, items that were suppose to go downstairs, will go in the basket and we will take them downstairs and put away. I hope this system will work not only in theory but in real life. I will let y'all know how it goes :)
$30.00 item at a yard sale, how wonder it didn't sell. Most people such as myself go to yard sales for bargains. Usually, people have yard sales to get rid of things. They sell it cheap. Prices like that, you should sell on ebay or something.
That was a bargain, I recently saw the exact same sconce online for $257. The word bargain means different things to different people. There are all sorts of folks that go to yard sales. The ones that are looking for the free bin, the ones that are looking for the 25¢ table, etc. There are also many types of people that host yard sales. Folks that are just trying to get rid of junk and those that are trying to make money. I fall into the category of "those that are trying to make a lot of money in the least amount of time with fairly priced items". I have sold plenty of items at yard sales for $30 and more. I sell quality pieces that people want to buy. Not everyone is going to spend $30 on a item, but I'd rather have that one person buy a $30 item then have 50 people looking to buy 50¢ items. When folks see my stuff, they get on their phones call their family and friends and tell them to head over to my sale. I never earn less than $800 in one day. There are certain items that I do not put out at the garage sale because I know I would not get my asking price.
I wish I'd known someone that wanted botanical images when my parents left Florida to come back to Massachusetts. We gave so many high-end things to charities. I'd have loved to give it to you, the botanical plants prints my mom had were framed in a lovely bamboo. Can't wait to see your finished DR.
Oh how sweet. It is the thought that counts. I absolutely loooove botanical prints, and I really like bamboo as well. I bet they were beautiful prints. I can't wait to see the finished dining room as well. I am making things up as I go. I am always just as surprised with what I end up with as my viewers.
The Champagne bowl is amazing.
You, per usual, have some elegant, tasteful pieces. Can't wait to see the makeover. Thank you for sharing. Blessed be!
Thanks!
