Thank you very much for the video, it is extremely helpful. I have a question regarding computing SPEI when dealing with multiple locations. Appreciate if you could provide some guidance on how to do this.
Thanks for watching. You need to do the same process for multiple locations (multiple weather stations) for each station and then make an average between them. For example, if you have 4 stations with a 1-month timescale, you must make an average of 4 columns of 4 station values. For spatial distribution, add the mean value of the period of each station, in the GIS description table, and then make interpolation or extrapolation. If you need more help , feel free to ask question.
Thank you very much for your support. It was nice but when I try the color of the graph has no color difference (red and blue). How can I adjust it please?
You mean your graph have only one color? If so , it show you have only one class, red(drought) blue ( wet). If your graph have only red one, it means you area dealing with drought :(.....
Hello, thanks for your video, it's very helpful! Do you know where can I find datas about tmin, tmax and precipitations around the world since 20 years or more for free ? Thanks a lot in advance for your answer !
Thanks for your question, you can watch the video, I explained how you can access climate data based on your preferred place, th-cam.com/video/t-lGCLyUdFo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7bWdvs-llNCf9dDD
Thank you for your video, it is very helpful, but I have a problem, I get this when I try to enter the Hargraves formula "[1] "Calculating reference evapotranspiration using the Hargreaves method. Using latitude (`lat`) to estimate extraterrestrial radiation. Checking for missing values (`NA`): all the data must be complete. Input type is vector. Assuming the data are monthly time series starting in January, all regular (non-leap) years." I already checked my database and there is no missing data, my latitude is correct... I don't know what to do :(
How do I test for best fit using AIC BIC Wilks AD test for different distribution parameter I.e gamma gumbel etc for different time scale for multiple stations ?
I have two issues first my SPEI data output is not arranged monthwise and secondly i am unable to plot the output. it says " plot.SPEI(SPEI3) Error in plot.SPEI(SPEI3) : could not find function "plot.SPEI" guide me what to do?
Hi, Preci (Precipitation data) is normally take from weather station in the case study. Or if you do not access the data in your site you can use some websites that you can easily download precipitation ( one of them is power.larc.nasa.gov/data-access-viewer/. Please feel free if you need more help.
Hello sir, in SPEI results in there are some cells which shows #NAME? instead of standard value whats the possible reason
thank you. I can't get a numerical output for Excel from SPEI. What should I do, in your opinion?
FIRST OF all, thank you sir for this informative video. How can I make a drought hotspot map using the SPEI value?

Hi, For this index you need to use average monthly precipitation. Cheers
@@ResNeeD1 thanks! :D
