poor fenix looked like she just wanted to sleep. Glad she doing ok, didn't realise that bearded dragons got worms but of course they do, same as everyone else
she wanted anything other then filming
anything that lives off of insects will have big chances of getting worms. crickets are big carriers which is why its important to get them from reputable sources to limit the odds
Exactly what my vet did and now my bearded dragon is still sick and worse I ordered panacure. And I'm using it Tomorrow . Ty for the information the meds the vet gave me didn't work. To low of dosage I'm assuming.
Guy: "We are trying to drop a video on worms."
Fenix: "I'm not a work, I'm leaving." 😆
she was fine the entire time and then started moving only when i was filming. Even when i paused to talk to her she was fine.........
Thanks for this video! Buying this from Amazon.
It’s always nice to see Ms. Fenix! She has great side eye!! 😊❤👍🏻

So far over 270 people have watched this video!
So far there are 157k subscribers!
So far only 63 have made a go fund me donation towards getting a used vehicle for the rescue work after A1G was hit, head on by an idiot!
So far $2,499 has been raised by the 63.
I know things are tough but every $1 really does make a difference. I don't know how much something like a coffee from Starbucks cost but how about donating that amount and skipping the caffeine?
A1G is not the type of guy to keep asking for support. I however have a big mouth and will keep reminding you all about the go fund me 🦎🐍🐸 xx
you are so italian.... "fix your hand for gods sakes!!" I laughed out loud! Made me miss my Italian grandparents! thanks for telling us this. Ive got a great vet who gets the worms cleared first treatment.
Every time a video notification comes up from A1G, it doesn't matter what I'm doing, I'm like, "Bye!" I have to go now!" 🤣🤣🤣
Same here lol 😂😂 Me and my beardies love this channel 💕

Are you going to show what the parasite eggs look like under the microscope and how to prepare the slide? I think it's important for people to be able to identify what type of parasite eggs they're looking at if they're going to deworm at home. Another reason to be able to identify the species of parasite is that fenbendazole does not treat coccidia which is also commonly found in bearded dragons.
So what treats coccodia then?
@@Geordie222 albon (sulfadimethoxine)
Of course she don't know
@@neilsullada385 I do know but I don't want anybody buying medications and treating their reptiles without correct dosing information. Go to your vet, get a diagnosis, get the correct medications and dosing.
OMG, ~3:25min she closed her eyes at “old way the vet” would do a dewormer…”with a dramatic “please don’t make me remember”-expression 😂😂😂😂
Thanks a lot for this video!!!! It's really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Love how calm she was and then nope i'm off 🤣
Thanks for tip I been taking them in the vet and this can save time and money. Enki been taking calcium 0.06 grams so I got to get that safe guard!!
Good luck! 🥰 A1G is my go to guy for anything I need. In addition to having Patreon, he's on Discord and Instagram. 🥳
Glad I could help

Great video!! Feel so educated🤌
Glad it was helpful!
With such a a gorgeous close-up, of Fenix, I noticed a darker orange around her neck area. My Rankin's lizard has this, and I wondered if you knew what it is? With the Rankins, it is bright orange, and almost looks like it could be scraped off (but it can't - well I never have!) and it is almost a fluorescent bright orange.
Many thanks, great info on worming, thankyou for educating us. Love Fenix, so beautiful.
its just the pattern on the scale
Thank You ; I was not sure what the dosage was .😊
Happy to help
I've always used food grade diatomaceous earth which is the same thing ur using my beardie is been the healthiest
her eyes r so striking. it looks like she’s looking into the camera & trying to figure it out sometimes lol
they always try to figure out what things are!
my beardie says hi felix
It's so hard to deal with parasites in tiny critters. Great video! It's wonderful that there's a safe medication for them. With some animals vets are having to guess how to treat them, because there's not enough research. I've rescued ferrets for more than 20 years, and unfortunately vets still don't know much about them, in spite of their being very popular pets.
I totally agree!
What model of microscope do you have? Or what magnification is used? I assume around 100x. A video of how you perform fecals would be great. Thanks so much.
Hello cute Fenix!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Hello 😊
what type of microscope do you use? any specs for it would be great!
Would you recommend regular preventative worming of reptiles? I know it's often done for other animals with high rate of parasite infection (including the goats that safeguard is labeled for, i use it regularly aha). I know often they get the worms from crickets, so is it worth it if they're mostly fed other insects?
Can I use safeguard canine?
What magnification microscope do you use?
so if their poo smells that means worms? my little kayda has some ripe bathroom breaks like i can smell her from the other room within 10 to 20 min of her going. i never took care of a dragon before she is a rescue and i am doing everything i can for her to raiser her proper cuz the person that had her before never should have had her.
i am given her collard greens and dandelion greens and dubia roaches 1inch dusted with calcium powder every three feedings. i use a shake and bake bag to dust them so they are loaded lol
Unrelated to the video, but do you have tips on how to get crested geckos to hunt on their own? Mine so far will only eat if I rip the bugs head off and rub the guts on his mouth. But I have a hand tremor and tong feeding him is difficult. He ignores them if I leave them in his cage and I’d prefer not to do that anyway since I know it’s unsanitary.
question, does this kill tapeworms?
I just finished my babies treatment, about 2 wks. Today I cleaned her tank and live tapeworms were in her poop.
I've been spot cleaning using the reptile disinfecting spray, so she should have been clean. Any advice welcomed
Wut would a recommend for a super worm?my friend has a bearded dragon and get him a super worm and it’s eating him alive and his scales r turning black. Is there anything that can help it?
What kind of beardy is this?Mine looks like her.

My 3 year old beardie got coccidia and the vet gave me a strong dewormer and antibiotic and she died 7 hours later. I am still so sad and heartbroken. I watch all your videos and love all your content. I don’t know if I can get another one since I am so devastated and so afraid of losing another. Thank u for being so informative.
Are you sure you have the right dose. Unfortunately I've often heard of people giving the wrong dose. Example .8 cc instead of .08cc
What happened to me too I gave him the medicine and he died from it
It was pre- dosed by the vet
What microscope do you use please
This good for Coccidia or just pinworms? Thanks
was going to get this for my BD but the back of the bottle says .6 mL for a 25lb goat..
Do u have to keep the reptile in a quarantine tank during this treatment so as not to infect its enclosure or is that not nessessary?
I think my baby bearded dragon has parasites… he hasn’t eaten in 9 days and vets are booked up around my area. He’s about 2.5 months old and losing weight… should I just go ahead and do this ? He also had diarrhea but now he isn’t pooping at all just urick acid.
Right at this second I have a rankins dragon small version of a bearded dragon and I’ve had my dragon for 6 years now but he dying so I think this is his last day😢
How much would you give a three-year-old 3 and a 1/2 foot Female Argentine black and white tegu? She's a pretty big girl.Thanks.
Thank you so much for this. I have 2 questions:
1. Does that same medication treat all (or most) common bearded dragon parasites?
2. I have 2 bearded dragons with Adenovirus, which results in them both being susceptible to parasites. Because a vet visit + fecal test is about $200 total, and I need to get them tested 2-3 times per year each, it can get very, very expensive. If the medication is very safe, is there a reason not to just treat my beardies if I SUSPECT parasites? It would save a significant amount of money and speed up them getting treatment (a vert visit takes a week or so , plus results also take a week here). I supposed that a reason not to would be that I might miss something else that might be causing the issue, but I would be able to tell if the medication did not clear things up, and then bring them to the vet. I realize that optimum would be to bring them to the vet every 3 months or so, but I'm thinking that this might be a better way to handle it, especially considering that they are prone to parasites, and that the parasites have a more detrimental effect on them that they would to a healthy beardie. Your practical advice here would be helpful.
Did he answer you?
not yet, but I'm hopeful :)

I have a 6-8 month old bearded dragon that is having diarrhea often but not always. I don’t have an exotic vet nearby to check for worms. I’m assuming it is caused by his diet since he didn’t have the problem till I started feeding him. He devours his greens but I don’t know if I’m feeding enough protein for him or maybe have the basking spot the wrong temperature. I feed dubia, bsfl, and super worms. How much should I be giving him in one day? What basking spot temperature should I aim for?
you have to catch my last saturday of the month live streams for questions like this!
Your "everyone assumed bearded dragons had worms" reminds me of a guy who won the Nobel Prize.
He was interested in stomach ulcers. Others told him, "Oh, just ignore all those bacteria on the slide, they're always there."
Ha ha ha. He discovered those bacteria CAUSE stomach ulcers.
This is especially important in areas where stomach ulcers are rarely treated (no health care) as they turn out to slide into stomach cancer.
Never ignore the obvious!
P.S. I don't have a dragon, never expect to have one, but I love experts and esp. animal experts.
Thanks for this channel.

Any updated videos on her? How is she doing now? 😊
ah yes she has been in many videos!!!! shes doing amazing!
@@Animal1Guy awesome to hear
I hope Phoenix is ok, she looked like her breathing is a little laboured, is it her age, is she doing ok? 💕
Phoenix is an old girl, I’d put money on that being the issue.
Though if she has parasites she will be more prone to respiratory issues since her immune system is weak
She's really old, he even calls her Gramma beardie 💕
@@Somedude20282 Very true
shes ok, yes shes old also she was not in the mood for a video lol early in the morning.
Thank you for the replies, I’m an old granny so I know how she feels, love to Phoenix. 💕
Hey how much would I give my Beardie for 10%????
I’m curious as to why she is breathing the way she is at the start of this video. Is she sick?
shr looks like she has an upper respitory infection and he isnt noticing. she is moving to get her bresth, she is lethargic it apprars. her eyes look sick
I was told by my vet to do 1 dose every 2 weeks… Omg not every week.. what do I do?
that might be due to a low infection count. Its not a problem either way
looks like she keeps open mouth breathing... uri?

I literally have no money but to feed my lizard and get him the medicine he’s skinny and poops are not hard post the time and he came with another Liz that my friend owns and hers had worms I’m 99 percent sure mine has worms but I can’t afford to take him to the vet and get checked would he die if I gave him medicine and he had no worms even tho I’m 99 percent sure he does and bad to his bones are weak I have uvb so it’s not from that it’s just like something is taking all his nutrients he’s last active and all losing his colors to and my friends lizard from the same breeder and cage had worms and she got hers treated but at the time mine seemed like he didn’t but I just couldn’t tell cus couple months later he started to show major signs like very runny poop can’t even take a sample even if I wanted cus he barley poops solids I’m almost 100 percent sure he has them
If beardies are anything like leopard geckos they need more vitamins than just UVB.
@@S1GMA_407 leopard geckos don’t need uvb💀💀💀 as long as they get calcium supplements
