Great job! I learned something new... about treating tissue paper with methyl cellulose to make it better foldable. And I imagine when you get it wet again it goes soft and that's when you can thin out the legs of the daddy long leg. But at least it was dry for long enough to make the sculpture reasonably calculated and durable enough to thin the legs. I would have liked to see the thinning of one leg. p.s. I like your shirt!

Oooh, it's a type of kozo paper. Gonna have to check it out. Awesome shaping! Seriously insane from that simple pattern. Would love to see some variability in the length of the legs if there's ever a V2. Two sets of the legs on a harvestman are significantly shorter than the others and there's some neat pedipalps you could add too.

Could this be used over a monitor to filter blue light or for eye sensitive to light? Perhaps one layer would not be enough

If only there was a way to make monitors as easy on the eyes as something on paper

Color me confused on the way you applied the methyl cellulose. By doing it this way you dramatically increased the thickness of the paper. The lightest Tengujo is about 10um thick, and due to the viscosity of methyl cellulose you can’t readily get it thinner than several times that.
