The second ATL drafted Penix, the logical pathway was start with Cousins, let Penix learn, insert Penix as starter in the latter half of the season then trade Cousins. They are on track for that. They are crossing their fingers that Penix will play well and that they can find a trade partner, without too much cost, for Cousins. Think ATL are pretty happy with these developments.
No way, if that was the plan they wouldn’t have given Cousins a 4 year contract, it would’ve been 2 years. I think they were expecting Penix to earn the job next season or at the beginning of 2026
Kirk has a no-trade clause so this was no grand plan. We panicked and gave a 35 year old with no real NFL success a bag, coming off a major injury. Then they decided Penix was good later. Terry Fontenot is a clown.
@@jakehutchison5761 if by “nothing” you mean he takes up $35M in their cap space for 2026 then yeah. Their best bet is to try and get him to waive his No Trade clause, because Cousins has all of the leverage here after they offered such a long contract to him
As a proud Texan fan I seriously hope we take your advice with shotgun formations and quick passes. Love your insight of the game. Best in the biz. Hook Em Horns!!
As an O.G. Vikings fan, I'm grateful to the Falcons for taking Cousins off of our hands. It allowed the Vikings to add several key players on defense and add a 10 million dollar Darnold to play like a 100 million dollars thanks to KOC and multiple offensive weapons!! SKOL VIKES!!!!
The Falcons could totally do the offense that the Texans have been trying to pull off. I could see it being like a supercharged version of the Steelers. Penix is lowkey athletic even though he doesn't run. I guess will see how well it all translates.
The Steelers - Ravens game only determines if the Steelers win the division this week. If the Steelers win they could lose the next two and end up tied with the head to head tiebreaker if Baltimore wins out. If the Ravens win, in week 17 both teams play teams the other lost to, and week 18 are divisional games. Since Pittsburgh beat the Eagles, they have the lead in the common games tiebreaker, and since the Ravens lost to the Browns the Steelers have the lead in the division outright so if both teams win the remaining two games the Steelers win the tiebreaker. If Baltimore loses to the Texans they can't win the common games tiebreaker, if they lose to the Browns they can't win the division games tiebreaker. So yeah it's a big game, but if the Ravens win it, it means I have to root for... the Chiefs.
@@Jacob-hc1jq Yeah, and they lost to the Texans in the preseason, I shouldn't try to do playoff scenarios when I'm this tired. The Steelers would get the common games tiebreaker by beating Kansas City and the division would be tied if both teams win out so that would be the tiebreaker if both won out. They win the division outright if the Ravens lose to the Browns so the Steelers losing to Kansas City wouldn't help the Ravens. The main point is the Ravens can't win any possible tiebreaker, they need to have a better record.
I think my Steelers aren't true SB contenders, but I think he have some real pieces. The window will open for us soon. I think this is JA's year to finally win it all for Buffalo and I'm pulling for JA to get it done. I'm really hoping the Steelers draft a new WR (Roman will come back next season), and Drew Allar to sit behind Russ for a year or two along with a new 5-Tech. GO STEELERS! GO JA!
That's something I didn't think about, how bad is Terry Fontenot as a GM. To not know what Penix was going into the off-season screams incompetence. Should the Falcons fire Fontenot?
I’m really starting to think a lot of former quarterbacks are jealous of how good Josh Allen is, and hate how easy he makes it look. Chris Simms and Cam Newton come first to mind. Cam Newton hates him because he’s destroying all of Cams records already. And everyone says that Josh Allen is like a more athletic Cam Newton and has a bigger arm and is more accurate and is faster.😂 Cam is so jealous of him it’s so funny!😂😂

@@statisticallysound The contract is basically 2 years. They owe Kirk 27 mil next year and nothing after that.

In the Super Bowl Philly had 9 real drives.
4 TD’s
2 FG’s
1 TO
2 punts
Idk if the chiefs did too much
That one turnover was all we needed.

Simms ❤ Josh Allen, what are you talking about?
It’s amazing how creative they are finding ways to talk about the same 5 teams every week lol
At this point in the season there are only a few teams to talk about. At least they aren’t talking about the bears every week now
Yeah, let's talk about the Saints and Giants this week. REALLY FUCKING INTERESTING
Chris you are blind that you can't see how bad Cousins played the past 5 weeks.
