He did get to hear that Sanemi was trying to keep him safe and wanted him to live a normal and happy life while he keeps the demons away from him and that all he wanted was to protect him just like before + seeing how devastated and desperate Sanemi when he saw Genya's body, but yeah, it's extremely tragic and sad and I really wish Genya would have survived because he was so young and innocent and Sanemi's only driving force to keep going was to protect Genya 😭😭💔💔
