You guys do the BEST restorations I have ever seen. I have been a fan since dream car garage. I've owned almost every body style of Chevrolet muscle car back in the early to mid eighties. I wish I kept at least one of them. I wish I was able to purchase one of your vehicles but I could never afford your prices. Pete, Gary and the whole crew are incredible people! Keep up the great content and thank you!
Hi Peter, saw your Shelby go over the block at Meecum, Kissimmee, yesterday (Sunday) Congratulations Peter. $5.4 million , you did good and you deserve it. Been following you guys since the early years. You do some incredible restorations. I have a 64 Corvette coupe, 327/365 mint shape and your not getting it. lol. I'm from Cambridge and I met you last year in your show room. Congratulations again my friend. Leo Olds
Wow turned on TH-cam and your clip was right at the top. Really enjoyed the content and the amazing cars. Keep posting clips like this. For car guys it’s heaven
Great place to fulfill your "Dream car". I bought a 427 Corvette convertible 60th anniversary edition from LMC in '20 during the pandemic. Canadian citizens couldn't get out but LMC got that Vette to my front door. Thanks guys n girls. 🙏
I just binged on your old TV series. Excellent show. Nice to see a father and son working together too. Just as good or better than TexMex Motors and Hoovies TV series. Keep it coming please. I was never crazy about Mustangs and Ferraris growing but I have new appreciation. I owned many cars, 1 at a time, yet gravitated towards sporty Japanese and British roadsters. Currently driving an 06 Pontiac Solstice.
Will be interesting to see what some of these cars bring. Especially that gorgeous Delahaye and Carrols Cobra. A buddy bought an ‘05 Ford GT in the same white and blue color combo. I agree they are really cool cars that hold their value. What’s cool is that you can actually drive them without fear of severe devaluation like with Ferraris and many other exotics.
Yeah their old show was great! I met Tom Hnatiw around 2008 at Laguna Seca announcing IMSA races, wonderful man, knowledgeable and outgoing. We lost Tom way too early. 🙏🏽🏁
6:47 with all the extense knowledge Peter has, and these interesting videos they make, when he applies the bad habit of turning the wheel with his hand inside it (even at low speed) , he breaks my heart.
I had one of those shut off switches/knob in a souped up Maverick I used to own. We sold them in a vintage/rod shop I worked at. Another cool feature of that device is that you can remove the knob completely. My battery was in the trunk. I was at a party once and a buddy who had had a little too much joy juice thought it would be funny to take off in my car. I had removed the knob as I often did when the car was parked. He went nowhere. That little terminal switch and a hidden fuel pump switch under dash combined made for a really inexpensive anti-theft device.
A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE JUST SOLD HIS 22 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILE GRABBER BLUE BOSS 429 FOR 315 GRAND AND HE PAYED 6 GRAND FOR THE BOSS 429 MANY YEARS AGO.
Always been a big fan of Peter and Legendary Motors. Super stoked to find it here on YT. Also, nice to see Gary again... great to see a father and son working together.
Carol Shelby had another personal Cobra. His other Cobra was a automatic and supercharged, very hard to drive. All the switches were labeled in dyno label.
I've done exactly that with the battery cutoff, and starting up my 66 cobra replica with its old carb '75 302. I'd love to own Carroll's own car. Love the look and sound with the underbody exhaust ❤
Just found this channel, excellent work and comments! What a collection of cool cars, the Cobra, the 429 Mustang and the 72 911 are my favorites, mostly in those same colors! I am not a fan of Chrysler card but that Satelite is quite an impresive sleeper!
I’m so glad to see you guys back. No shenanigans. It’s just about the cars. Just as it should be. FYI Adam Carola mentioned your return on Carcast. He’s a big fan too.
I remember stopping by LMC and seeing a Pagani Zonda R and instantly had questions about it, why it was there, history etc. Love that we can now get a glimpse into some of the spectacular cars that go through your shop. Subscribed
Had a 1965 GTO, 389, 4-speed and 1967 GTO 400, 360 hp, automatic, both new. From what I recall, the owners manual said to cold start, slowly push throttle to WOT(wide open throttle) to set the automatic choke before starting, then turn key and if carburetor is operating correctly the car should start and come to fast idle, tap the throttle and it should slow down. It will show to normal idle when it warms up, these cars had a choke type devise on the exhaust manifold to help it warm up, it would open up as exhaust temperature heated up.
This is the first time I've watched your channel - I'd like to thank for for talking money, as most channels don't even discuss it! It's what every car geek wants to know!!
From a Canadian to and other Canadian congratulations on the efforts and hard work through the year. I hope you sell them all at the auction Mr. Klutt😎🇨🇦👍👏
The knowledge, craftmanship, expertise and love you guys (and others in your industry) have for these cars is simply incredible. I'm glad we are able to see what you are able to do!
If my classic has been sitting for a while , let’s say more than a few weeks , I do not pump the gas on my carburetor , I spine the motor over until I see oil pressure go up slightly by turning over the starter , when a little pressure is seen I know the mechanical fuel pump has also filled the carburetor bowl full , then pump the gas to activate the choke butterfly to start the car ! This only works on a mechanical fuel pump or if you have a separate shut-off for an electric fuel pump on a carbureted engine !
Man great t see u on ,u tube was a big fan of toyr back in the speed vision days, love t see u do a show on the nsx new and old keep your the good work😎
Growing up Jimmy used to take the 427 cobra out it was loud side pipes ( always burned my legs on those things) what great times. Had also the little 289 cobra and the Pantera. The Pantera was a lot different than the cobra s not as loud but just as fun
Beautiful 69 Boss 429. Was wondering why this one is more preferable than the 70 model. I like the front end of the 70 more was wondering what the difference really was if any. Love your channel too👍
Love the suggestion about starting carbureted cars in the cold. Especially about waiting for the fuel to atomize. Never considered that! Guess it proves the old saying, “good things come to those who wait”. 😉
Do a segment on the Cobra: 1. How’d it wind up in your shop? 2. Why choose Mecum Kissimmee to vend it? And for bonus points 3. Was there any profit on the transaction?

That Cobra is astonishing!!! Such a beautiful color and its history makes it second to only Number 1 in my eyes.

Just found your show on TH-cam. Love it.
Shelby What a legend. R.I.P great man.
Basically no other car dealer or car guy has the edge on Legendary. Seriously Legendary has to be the best in the business. Very impressive.

Congratulations on the record breaking sale of Shelby’s personal Cobra! Considered the finest restoration! That was amazing to watch!
My fave Canadian car guy, knows his stuff. I miss his show on velocity. He presents some cool rides, thx man

The best anti-theft device nowadays is a manual transmission!
hahaha

Pretty BOSS 429! Cherry 🍒 red.
It’s nice :. Very nice
That was fun to watch. Thank You for helping to preserve automotive history.
That’s exactly how I start mine, but I don’t have a choke, I have to keep the revs up about 1800 rpm until it builds heat.
WOW, ALL THOSE CARS WERE SPECTACULAR.
Always loved your content. The attention to detail is what I like. Grand turismo 3 music at the end was awesome too 🤜🤛
I do 2 full pumps then hold the 3rd half way while starting...has worked on every car I’ve had
