It's never usually the famous singer's decision about which songs they release into the official top 40. It's normally their record managers or recording company who get to decide which songs become famous. Unfair right? Just like you, I think this song deserves to be a famous hit. It's very upbeat. It's like when the Spice Girls didn't really want to release 'Wannabe' as their first ever single, but their manager had other ideas.

This is definitely a hit. The whole album is a gem. I remember Kylie didn't want to release Never too late wanting to release the track Enjoy Yourself instead, but SAW said no. Good decision. Heaven and Earth being a song about recycling and the climate crisis was kinda weird but was unusual in those days for an artist to sing a song about that subject although the message is subtle.
