    Was a student of Johns at Derby between 1983 and 1986. Very inspirational and a genuinely nice guy. Thanks John .

    Very lucky to have had John as a tutor for my 3 year Photography BA in Derby. Nice bloke. I´m sure if you call him up, he'd let you spend the day with him. ;)

    it will be a shame to see all that disappear when Birmingham looses its funding, hopefully someone else will take it over

      The decision hasn't been made yet. Either way I think the proposal is to cut staff, it's an open question what would happen to the collections after that.
