Thank you. I was scratching my head. It's a really great plugin in it's simplest form, but I really need to watch some of these tutorial videos to learn what it can really do.
Hi there has anyone had issue purchasing this product I got stuck on vat registration number and couldnt, get past it, contacted support weeks ago but didn't get any response regard Barry.
Hey there! If I wanted to, say, align climaxes of different references with the climax of my mix, how would I do that? In a DAW it's easy, I can visually align the tracks in seconds. Using Metric AB, it seems that I need to manually calculate the offset in the reference track which I would need to apply so that the playback starts on the right spot, and particularly having no negative offset displayed it's kind of tricky sometimes. Intuitively, I would expect to first select the position in the reference track, then select the position is the DAW, and then press SET button, but that does not work, unfortunately, because when I'm in SYNC mode and press anything in the DAW it obviously jumps there and my selection in the reference track is lost. I really want it to be synced: not latching and not starting from the beginning of some cue.
the reason is, it's not a stereo waveform. 😀 The top waveform is the OVERVIEW, it always shows you the complete track, while the larger waveform at the bottom allows you to zoom in on areas to add Cue/Loop markers with total precision. When you are zoomed in, you can also see a box on the top waveform which shows you which region of the track you are zoomed in on. You can also drag the box to scroll the view of the zoomed area
@@adptraudio4733 I have loaded a file that I know is stereo and it looks just like the one shown in your video. Overview on top but looks like a mono file on the bottom. When I bring the same file directly into my DAW it is a stereo file. I see at the bottom-right of the ADPTR. Metric AB wave file window it says it is stereo. I guess it doesn't display a stereo file in the traditional way showing both the left and right side at the same time?
you can start the playback from any point, it does not have to be a bar - you just position the playhead where you want to start it and click the SYNC button on Metric AB - and that's it....

Will there be an update when you can make negative offset values without having to move the playhead? In Pro Tools this is a bit cumbersome to do
yes - v1.4 has sync-offset to do this, contact us via the website to get the beta version

Hey Viktor - stay tuned for the update next year, we have already developed the feature that you are requesting 😀
@@adptraudio4733 that coming soon?
@@impolitikful Metric v1.4 has this feature and is available to download
Why does the bottom section of the stereo wave file look larger than the top section? Is there a setting to have them look the same size? Thanks.

Metric AB displays the waveform as mono only. @@1rcproductions Would you like the option to display the waveform as stereo?
@@adptraudio4733 Would be nice to have the option, though I guess it is not necessary, now that I see that the plugin does say it is a stereo file.
Why can't I just start the playback from any point, I don't want to bar sync it, it's so stupid...
