    In today's video we discuss things I wish I learned sooner about farming. Farming in DDLV is obviously important because we need star coins to personalize our maps and buy seeds. I hope all the tips in this video helps some new players out! I am thinking my next DDLV video will FINALLY be a speed build, as many of yall know, I had to restart due to some game breaking bugs, but im finally starting to focus on items and crafting them for builds. Next video will either be the fall festival or a spooky build! what do you hope to see first?

      ALSO PLEASE excuse half into the video, my voice started to get really dry near the end of this video. My allergies were acting up and are giving me a hard time. :( THANKS AGAIN for the love/support!

    Hey Nora! Great tips. If anybody wants to try this. I usually plant my pumpkins before it rains, WITHOUT watering them. As soon as it rains I have instant pumpkins🎃🎃🎃 Because the 4 hour timer starts as soon as you plant. So no need to water crops, continue on with your duties and next time it rains proceed to harvest🎃🎃🎃. Warning: if you do water them I discover that it wont work.🌱👋

    Great video. My tip for new players is just take your time. I’m building up my resources before introducing more characters. Quests take an insane amount of them, so make sure you have the resources ready for them, especially the rarer resources such as hardwood and iron. One iron ingot takes five iron nuggets. Build up your money too. I used carrots at the beginning, then progressed to canola, and then pumpkins. Cooking can also make you money, but I’d rather use them for energy or give to other characters.
    The collection tab has all the info you need regarding resources you’ve unlocked, and where to find them. You can also check what level your characters are on, their buddy role, and what their favourite daily items are. It’s a great game.

      Great tips!! You have basically been doing what I did on this new save. It has made gameplay so much easier!!

    I'm not sure if other players feel this way but I would forgo having more than one or two foraging characters. Not only are they very slow to progress, the only thing that counts towards it is picking your fruit trees and bushes which you're going to get a lot of anyway. I suggest focusing mostly on mining and gardening characters. Another TH-camr and I wish I could remember her name did a study and the more level 10 characters you have of a specific job, the better the bonuses are for whichever character you're using. Now whether that's a bug that will be patched in the long run or if it's a feature, that's unknown but as of right now a person with six gardeners versus two gardeners at level 10 will get better bonuses.

      @horriblegamingofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Most of my villagers are mining and farming. Idk if ive seen any bonuses though personally 🤔

      @@horriblegamingofficial the thought process was if you have five max level characters versus say 7 or 8 Max characters you get more bonuses from the seven or eight versus the five meaning how many bonuses they spit out when you're harvesting. I guess the TH-camr did a massive test and found the more you have the more bonuses you get in terms of the harvesting bonuses

    These are all so very helpful!!! That 'growing crops in their original biome' is super useful!!!

      Thank you! Honestly i should probably use the original biomes more often for farms but im also lazy 😅😂

    I build a farm with a 99 hole plot for each native crop with my house and well right next to it. I made it look nice and decorated too. This way I always know where i can get more of a crop. I made sure to also have a full chest of each crop and I sell the excess. The nice thing about this is that you can go into your house to regain your energy super quick and dont have to waist food to regain energy. And if you're done with the area and want to go over the next area to farm you just take your house in build move over to your other farm and plop it down. Its super easy.

    I've gotten those glowing things when harvesting crops but didn't know you could harvest multiple times in that spot. I'll have to do that next time. When I get Glade of Trust, will have to plant crops there. There just isn't enough space in the Plaza area. Thank you.

    • @horriblegamingofficial
      @horriblegamingofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Such a huge staple when it happens and more money! Right now glade of trust and sunlit plateau are my farming spots since the other areas I plan to decorate first!

    Another way to tell what the native biome of a crop is, is to go to either the ingredients or foraging tab in your book.

    I am SOO glad that they patched the rain not actually watering the crops.
    I would have to leave my game open and keep my eyes out for the rain to stop, because they immediately all wanted water after being watered 🤣 that was beyond annoying. Can't describe how happy I am this glitch is gone. Now if they only would bring back us being able to purchase crafted items from scrooge again 🤔
