This is hands down THE best song to come out of the 70’s. I’m white as Casper the ghost but my father showed me the magic of Marvin when I was young and I’ve been a fan ever since. Music like this just isn’t made anymore. This music is timeless. I’d rather listen to this song on repeat than any of the garbage they call music nowadays.
Garbage? That’s not entirely fair, in fact a great example of some recent music is the new RHCP album Unlimited Love, or if your looking for a new artist Johnny Manchild is sure to make some big waves to music as he gets older. Or if your looking for more of a jazz feel, feel free to vibe to some Snarky Puppy. Or if you’re saying new rap is junk then I would kinda agree, but I love me some Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole every now and again. Point being, don’t generalize all modern music to being crap, cause you’re just dead wrong sir 😂

For a brief moment in time, Bill Walton, Bob Gross, Lionel Hollins, Maurice Lucas, etc. were on top of the world, with Walton considered on par with Kareem and Bob Lanier in terms of superstar big men at the time. Both Kareem and Walton were products of the unstoppable John Wooden system at UCLA, it’s just unfortunate that Walton succumbed to injuries so early in his career. Just imagine if he were to remain fully healthy throughout his career 😢

In loving memory of musical genius Marvin Gaye. Tomorrow would have been his birthday. Happy birthday 🎈🎉🎂 Mr. Gaye. Your star still shines.
So sad, he was such an unbelievably talented individual, so smooth, what a shame his personal life wasn't the same. Your'e right his star still shines, and his music goes on and on xx
😢
Infinitely better than Blurred Lines. Marvin Gaye will always be a legend, and this song is fire.
Yep!
Better sure but they don't sound similar at all
@@unclecharlieappreciatesmus2413 a court thought they did, and robin thicke and pharrell williams had to pay marvin gay $5.3M in 2013🤷♂️
They do sound similar (same baseline and punch's) even got the same "aww".
I was playing this in my car super loud with windows up and I was dancing in my seat and an older black man danced all the way to his car with a smile. It was such an awesome moment. ❤️
Marvin Gaye is the greatest ever soul legend that inspires since my youth. He was a genius as well as he uplifted with his all time classics for me and that's That's the way Love is and Got to give it up. RIP, the Marvelous one.

UR right..... 'Timeless song', such a great talented artist, Marvin Gaye.
Couldn't think of the name of this song. Literally typed in "Marvin Gaye song always played at Cookouts" & this was the first result. AMAZING! LOL!
This song came out in 1977 when I was 13 and here it is 2021 and I’m still jamming to it 💞💞
I was 13 too, wishing I was older:)

Way to go. Yeah 😎
I feel ya. I was 15 when this hit. And like yourself, I'm still listening to. My favorite song to dance to in my teenage years. Late 70's and then the 80's. What a time to be a young man
Fun fact:my father played the drum beat on this song

I accompanied my mom to her class reunion S.A Jones of Little Rock Ark. Me and my cousin just knew we had um can I tell yall I do not know what they gave them but those old people out danced me and my cousin to this song. They were class of 1966 it was like an ego commercial what just happened. Some of them were doing the Kid and Play
Us old folk can teach ya all a lot of moves!
His influence is undeniable - his actual 'thing' - inimitable. The man. Make no mistake.
If this song dont make you wanna dance then i dont know what will
😊😊😊
MARVIN GAYE REST IN PEACE SIR. YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE YOU. YOU ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITES.
He died because he tried to kill his father when his father didn’t give him money. His father shot him. He wanted the money for drugs.😢😢
I can barely hold the thought in my head being in the presence of this guy. His spiritual presence is still strong.
The older I get ... I now understand why my grandmother be dancing like she done lost her mind when she hears this song and dropping it like it’s hot... I be like “ forget it grandma, lemme mess it up with you” 🤣

Great, great movie! 10/10 Tacos
Lol just started watching it now. And wanted to save the song. Reminds me of my mom and dad dancing back in the day.
Still need to watch it, but I grew up on that Motown shit. Sadly I didn’t find Marvin until I was like 9, when Guardians 1 came out
Movie was sad asf bro they killed damn near everyone😭
Watching right now!!😂
R.I.H to my late paternal uncle who passed odd hours of yesterday morning. The oldest of all my mother's bros, but she is eldest of all and only girl. My bro said when he was a child, he remembered our uncle playing this song on repeat while riding in his white Chevy, playing it loud enough for heaven to hear. So, I played it tonight in memory of him. He was 71.
This song came out before I was born in 1981 but it's been one of my favorite songs for years! For the longest time I didnt even know who sang it but everytime I heard it I couldn't help but sing and dance along!! RiP Marvin Gaye, one of histories best musicians!!
Can’t not dance to this even if I can barely walk … love it .
Love Marvin Gaye 💜
This is one of those songs that i can't stay still , My body starts to dance by itself no matter where i am , in a church, in the street, at work, wherever it is played 🤣🤣
The little drip beats, especially around like 4:40 to the end around sound so amazing.
Not only did I hear the song my mom and dad had this playing at house party's and it was the best memories ever.
👍🇨🇦
Short lived but music will never die for Marvin Gaye, he's undeniably here for the time rendered. We love his music TH-cam. Thank you
