Great tips, thanks! I'm just getting ready to start my tote and now realize that my fabric is directional :( So, I see that your note says to cut two 16" widths of fabric and seam them together before quilting - I guess I adjust that size for the large tote? And then, do you quilt the bag body piece and the side panels separately in that case? Sorry for all the questions - my brain is stuck!! Thanks!
I am making my 5th tote but like to rewatch this video to refresh my memory! Great video!!
Thank you for the demo! This is my first bag making and it helped a lot to see this part.
You are so welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Do you happen to have a video on how to make this bag? I tried making it from the pattern and got stuck several times. Thank you!
Oh thank you so much I’m a visual learner
Thank you for the tutorial! What size stitch and what weight of thread do you use? TIA😊
You are so welcome. I use SoFine Thread wt 50. by Superior Threads. and I usually just stick to the 2.5 stitch length :)
Do you ever serge the edges before binding to help compress the layers?
I don’t usually because my serger isn’t always set up, but you for sure could!

Promise the 16” widths work for the large bag. The 16” is covering the length of the bag not the width. No worries at all.
