It is my opinion, since I’ve been dealing with a spontaneous kundalini rising for over four years now. That studios who profess to be teaching “kundalini yoga” (perhaps other yogas as well) should bear some responsibility for the probability that a student may be triggered and need help dealing with the physical and mental ramifications of what their practices are designed to facilitate.
I went to a local studio looking to get some guidance, and was summarily and forcibly pushed out the door because I was describing the below-the-belt sensations I was, and am still dealing with. I called the “owner” who was not on location by phone in my car, and spoke about what I was dealing with, but he was only slightly helpful. Made me feel like I was committing a “media typical” male act of aggression because I was the only dude in a room full of females at the time. And was told “you shouldn’t be here” as they locked me out of the entrance. I can’t remember what movie I heard the phrase “you are messing with powerful forces you cannot fully understand”. But that seems to be the norm here in the U.S. for yoga studios of all stripes. Aside from a few in heavily spiritual/hippy type neighborhoods. And even when I spoke to an actual Indian guru (Swami Divya Chetnaananji, of Baglamuki Ashram in Maharashtra India. Died June 2021) I felt like I was being brushed off because I was the only white occidental male and “first timer” at the retreat in California. In fact my yantra teacher said it would not be wise to say anything about it around the rest of the predominantly Indian group there either. It felt kinda racist actually. Although my despairing depression had gone at the point of awakening. The struggle to find adequate guidance can be depressing in itself. Although I did get some validation from a transpersonal psychologist and more study on the subject over time, I still have traumas from childhood and my suicide to address that may be amplifying my symptoms. I wouldn’t change my situation really, however like the presentation points out, not all awakenings are equal or easy. Take care out there. Aloha.

Your experiences show that there are no experts out there, and the expert is within. When Gopi Krishna had an abrupt awakening that put him close to suicide, he searched and searched for experts and found no one really. He relied on ancient texts and intuition, and he was guided from within to health and balance. It took over 12 years but he arrived at a true enlightened state. Keep praying and God/Shakti will guide and support.

@@sunsioux444 love this comment ! couldn’t be bothered to read the other one that was like a book 😅 I can agree they don’t seem to be any experts. Even this video. Curious how she can be sure what she says is true. 🤷‍♂️🙌

l think what most people are experiencing is "Pranotthana" not Kundalini. They get problems because pranotthana is cleaning out all the impurities and preparing them for actual Kundalini - there's a LID at the top of the head that has to be opened or pierced as well [called the Golden Lid in Upanishads].. But, most important is Brahmacharya or chastity. Kundalini will not get very far otherwise. l think Sri Ramakrishna said that Kundalini cannot fully rise through Sushumna without Brahmacharya.
Also, Kundalini Shakti can descend from above where it's unveiled. It is a power when it ascends from below, but it's 'veiled'. When descending it's the PURE shakti and it can work on us much more easily with better results..

There are very few people that understand Kundalini and you are truly one of them! I had a spiritual awakening in 2018 that was not SMOOTH. I searched and scoured any and all resources trying to navigate the process. Fortunately, I listed to my body, and overall was able to survive the process to the point where I feel more stable. I found teachers/organizations that you could "see" (through opened intuition) that they knew little to nothing about Kundalini rising. Some were good to teach Bhakti Yoga, which helped me, but they could not help with the Kundalini process. Though late in my process, Im glad there are lineage's like yours to help people - this gives me hope!

Thank you, I have had the rare release and all the chakras upward and out my Fontanel spinal sweep and merger.
The serpant or snake out my Anja Chakra. Very intense, very real. I am with a guru who has had the same.
My observations are that the Vedic scriptures are very good but not close to knowing all. My recommendation is only to listen to one who has experienced and continually will.
Well done, it is unknown, and it's understandable why. As we progress, many more will start their process.
    Blessings.

Woah, you're literally describing my experience (at least this time around) when you got to Saraswati. I felt vibration behind my heart, around my shoulder blade for weeks if not months. When my breakthrough happened, I experienced a huge emotional upheaval of anger that was tied to trauma I'd been trying so hard to divulge and work through, but it had been a disaster until I just burst through it like a thick pane of black glass. The energy/vibration then moved, I went into a state of bliss with focused direction, and I knew I wanted to write something very specific to help people. The experience lasted weeks, at different strengths, peaking after about 20 days when I was full of compassion, felt no pain whatsoever (in fact a winged scapula I had miraculously healed), had no dreams but tons of intuitive knowledge, and literally felt like I was floating. At one point it felt as if instead of swallowing my heart, my heart was swallowing my throat, as if to clear what was holding me back from finding and using my voice. I read something much later after this that there can be an importance to holding the energy in that place, but I couldn't seem to do it; the trauma came back like a vengeance and while I held compassion inwardly towards those demons from my past, they won the battle this round and I backed down from my intentions to write, be creative, express myself, and help others with my voice. And like you described with the energy being siphoned by certain interests: I felt I had access to things I couldn't have imagined, but I felt that access dwindled the more I 'used' them, as if like a battery running on low because the desires outweighed the intentions.
Now my body is full of pain again, but worse than ever; my doctor suspects fibromyalgia, and my thyroid is showing possible hyperthyroidism, which makes no sense given I'm tired all the time. Work became an utter mess, to say the least! For as good as I felt, I now find myself in a phase of nihilistic pessimism. I will on rare occasion feel a fluttery vibration between my brow while going to bed, but that's it. I have no idea how to direct Kundalini to sushumna either. My trauma actually pushed me away from spiritual endeavours 20 years ago, and I'm still struggling with that aspect as spirituality seems to be unwilling to wait any longer.

“Kundalini is an ongoing part of our collective unconscious. It’s that which makes our species shine and evolve.”
“Awakening indicates that kundalini has been asleep. She never sleeps.”
I love these statements because they teach us that kundalini is not designated for a select few. It’s within us all. What a relief! I like the idea of appealing to the kundalini in all through kindness or, at least, lightheartedness.
Regarding Bri’s lovely statements at the end of the video, a teacher I love (David Hawkins) says to be kind and loving toward all but that earth might not be the place where we should expect a divine utopia without suffering.
Anyways, the spirit of the words are what matters, so thank you Bri for sharing. I appreciate the scientific approach as well even though many of the terms were beyond me!

There is so much truth hear! Yes, you have the heart weal open! I have that situation too. I can not call it a problem. The problem is that not everyone has the heart open. Of coarse a woman would say the Kundalini, is always awake. LOL Men have less shakti and it often lies dormant in the Kundalini gland. Are you familiar with the प्रतृद् नदी, or Thrusting channel that stabilizes the Kundalini?

Joan used to have small retreats in which each person was individually appraised and given custom practices. I was fortunate to go to her retreat center three times in my life, and so grateful that I had these special opportunities because each time I went I had a breakthrough. Unfortunately or fortunately, Joan has retired. the divine mother is very kind and compassionate, and one can achieve spiritual progress in whatever walk of life one is in - especially if one is devout and sincere. I know spiritually advanced people who did not attend joan’s retreat, and they are doing well

You can't understand or convey what you call 'kundalini' through words, and to approach it through the concept of kundalini produces an immature, illusory, doggerol form of understanding that we call 'knowledge'. This is the immature stuff of an immature mind. Seeing and understanding the subtle inner dynamics within our own consciousness reveals the wordless process everyone is trying to control, coerce, or get excited about, but obviously, any imposition by the mind, any judgement of or attempt to get somewhere with this process, every interpretation of it or effort to tell others about it is an imposition on the free action of consciousness and therefore distorts and ruins the process. That includes people standing on their soap box and talking about it. This expresses and excites your enthusiasm but does absolutely nothing to help you or I transcend and transform. You don't realize that when you decide to help others you abandon the life path which was always and will always be about you, not others. Once you are transformed then the consciousness within you will be acting in freedom, and you can't assume or impose on it or decide in advance what kind of action that will be, because that is not freedom, and it creates illusion through presumption. There is no greater tragedy in the evolution of consciousness then to see people abandoning the truth by helping others or talking about stuff that is beyond words in words, therefore destroying and distorting all understanding.
The process is silent and beyond words and concepts. Words and concepts pervert, interfere with, and destroy the subtle process. That's why when you start talking about it you no longer grow in power and understanding. It is gratifying and keeps your spirits up in the short term but already this is the energy of illusion because it is based on believing you are doing something helpful for yourself or others.

Madam, we may not agree with you, Kundalini is prana or energy which is sleeping at Muladhara chakra. But you said it's not.

    • @sunsioux444
      @sunsioux444 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The prana/energy is a vehicle of kundalini. But kundalini is beyond that prana. Kundalini is the divine within an prana is her agent.
