Man, I wish Huawei could return to the game one day. I was never a fan of Chinese products until I checked and bought the Huawei P30. Gotta say, the top of Chinese merchandise is no slouch. Compared to other smartphone brands in China, Huawei wins hands down. It can even go toe-to-toe with Apple and Samsung. The build quality, the powerful chip, the outstanding EMUI, etc. Huawei's smartphones are brilliant. That is why someone fears what they could achieve with Google.
But still they would never retrieve their position in the market since Google services installation vulnerabilities don't last for long, also there are no many people who stay on the top of them, and others can't implement them on their devices, even if there are some users who have become used to Huawei's services but their percentage is incomparable to that of Google services users

I have a P40 Pro and had a Mate 20 Pro before it. My Mate 20 Pro was the best phone I think that ever was made. And my P40 Pro cameras are still taking some amazing unbeatable photos that everyone asks for. I'm not too happy with the design of the P60 Pro and like the Mate 50 Pro better. I just wish they both had the snap dragon 8 Gen 2 inside. I don't have any issues with Google apps but recently my apps are crashing which is strange. Huawei has always performed so solidly. Even after many years my Mate 20 Pro and P40 Pro is lightning fast with no lag whatsoever. I'm also in south Africa. I'm not sure if I should wait for the Mate 60 Pro. I'd like the 512gb version and I see the P60 Pro doesn't have one here.

@@chriscoetzer Hi there. Sure no problem. I'll happily answer any questions. 1) All banking apps work perfectly well for personal banking. The only thing is for corporate banking perhaps. Although not sure of all. I am an administrator for the corporate bank accounts of the company I work for. We couldn't get my P40 Pro enrolled because it wouldn't allow the QR code scanning to work. So I use my old Mate 20 Pro just for the corporate side. Otherwise for personal banking you're all set. 2) Yes. While I don't use Google photos, I just downloaded it now and somehow all my photos were syncing already. Not sure how they do it. But it does work. On a side note, I use my Google mail as my Huawei user ID. I don't think it'll make a difference as to whether or not it syncs. I think I used it just in case there was a distant chance that Huawei would get GMS back. Also, just know that while you'll be able to sign in to all your Google apps, Android Auto won't work even if downloaded from Gbox. Android Auto needs the phone itself to be embedded with Google Mobile Services. Gbox and GSpace is like running it in a separate partition. So android auto won't work. I don't use Android Auto for now at least since I don't have a car with that function so it doesn't bother me now.
I bought my first Huawei in 2015 in Portugal when I was living in there... it was a P9 and I started to like these Huawei smartphones. I think... Maybe in the future... Google will work on Huawei again, but until it does... I'll keep using my phones. In 2019 I moved to England and bought a Huawei Nova 5T and I use it until today but I'm looking for a new one and my option was the Huawei Mate 50Pro until I saw the launch of the P60 Pro in Rococo Pearl color and I thought it was perfect!! I was already enthusiastic about the performance of the Nova 5T cameras but after seeing many reviews of the P60 Pro camera, I think I will make the most correct option. Was and still is the very proud owner of the Legendary Mate 20 Pro! The phone that changed the world of photography! I still take some epic photos with it! I badly wanted to upgrade to a huawei again as I also invested in purchasing a NM 256gb card. Due to the ban and lack of 5G (which really don't mind) I could never go back to huawei. Too much uncertainty around the company led me to go back to my original brand SAMSUNG! So this year I pre ordered the s23 ultra 1tb and boy can I say what a monster of a phone it is. In comparison I can confidently say that it beats the p60 pro in many many depts.! Huawei quality has decreased over time unfortunately. I lot of recycling of parts because the chipsets just cannot keep up with newer hardware components. The software gets better which is a shame as I firmly believed huawei would have been the dominant brand in the smartphone market! Never mind! Great video. Nice to see huawei doing what they can but unfortunately I will only ever have in my possession the Legendary Mate 20 Pro! ❤
I had s23u for one week, I couldn't stand the bad noise of the main camera in the shadows and night, the washed out skin tones and had to returned it. I did pixel peeping between pictures taken with s23u and P40 Pro and man, Huawei is light years distance ahead in image processing. P40 Pro is 3 years old and whoops s23u's ass so badly lol.

It was also praised by many youtube reviewers for excellent portrait shots where skin tones were the highlight of those shots. I know of the p40 pro and it's a brilliant camera system but I wouldn't say by a mile that it whoops the s23 ultra. It's a very strong statement especially where the screen, the loudspeakers, the overall camera system including front facing shooter, thelephoto zoom lense, the battery life and processing speed is much better than the p40 pro. I wouldn't necessarily say it "whoops" the s23 ultra. Don't forget the s23 ultra takes probably the most detailed photos in a camera phone right now. I have used the 200mp feature and it's absolutely gorgeous! No camera can compete with that including 2 or 3 year old photos!

Also compare the noise in the shadows and the noise of the contour of hands and objects. Many people just take the specs of a phone and say it should be stellar. I was about to buy s23 ultra when I saw a p60 pro test unit and I was amazed how smooth the UI. I only need gmail and youtube so it's fine to me. My only problem is the seperate notification and control center in the screen. Hope they add an option to go back to the previous one.

One thing people may not know is P60 can send SMS through Beidou Satellite to other mobiles anywhere in the world free of charge, also can receive SMS as well with no mobile signal.
Picture comes out soft & can see clear image sharpening when zoom out compared to Mi 13 Pro or Ultra. The poor edge detection is the reason you notice more of the edge sharpening.

I actually find this annoying on my P40 pro. When I try to capture sunsets, it brightens the shot up so much that it looks like daytime.

I was about to buy s23 ultra when I saw a p60 pro test unit and I was amazed how smooth the UI. I only need gmail and youtube so it's fine to me. My only problem is the seperate notification and control center in the screen. Hope they add an option to go back to the previous one.

I'm in the UK and the biggest issue isn't having google, it's Huawei not having access to banking apps is the real issue.

Picture comes out soft & can see clear image sharpening when zoom out compared to Mi 13 Pro or Ultra. The poor edge detection is the reason you notice more of the edge sharpening.
