ooooh I would love to see that church and graveyard in the Lets build the Worlds series sometime the arched brick gateway has really inspired me to try that out I feel like I want to build a whole little village like Clovelly on the big site of Magnolia Park or Windenburg Estate. I love how close the buildings were and the what I think would be single tile cobbled paths and laneways. You always inspire me Mr Bumpkin thanks for showing me around beautiful Devon it was wonderful to see. 🥰
Hey Aden, I work for the Woodland Trust, you are correct that bluebells are protected under the “Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981)”, they are super important for the biodiversity of woodlands and green spaces, as well as just being a beautiful pop of colour to their environment ☺️

Wow, just wow. The sights and sounds of an old coastal village - the creaks, the cobbles underfoot, the fluffy white clouds and the birdsong... Walking down and up the winding path, I felt like I was inside a studio ghibli film. You really captured the beauty of this place. I wish so badly that there were more charming places like this that have been preserved in such a way, especially here in the states. And I hope beyond hope that one day I can be there experiencing it all in person. 💐

Clovelly is such a lovely village with a massive history, so glad you took us with you. I visited loads with my family when i was a child with my old childhood dog and seeing these streets again made me shed a tear. Thank you Aden❤️
The best sleep I've ever had was during one of my vacations where I was staying at a hotel right on the beach. I let my balcony door open during the night and the sound of the waves lulled me to sleep. Watching you having your best time enjoying the view on the beach gave me that peaceful feeling back. Thank you my love ❤️❤️❤️ Edit: Speaking of donkeys carrying people on top reminded me of Santorini where they make poor little donkeys carry tourists from the port of Thera all the way to the top and the thought of it makes me fume like a factory chimney!!!

I’ve come back to this vlog curled up with a cup of tea in bed to kick off my weekend ❤ I’m also from this glorious county but based in Bideford in North Devon, about 15-20 minutes drive from Clovelly. Clovelly harbour is a gorgeous place to swim on a summer’s day and quay jumping is very popular there. I squealed when you walked past my friend’s cottage hehe - so lovely seeing the village through your eyes!
I'm a bit late watching but I always get around to it. I always put your vlogs on the big screen, and me and my one Yr old sit down to watch together. She loves them too. I went here as a teenager and our choccy labrador was a puppy who went straight into the harbour. She's no longer with us but was lovely to remember her watching this x

It's a bit nerve wrecking going out to explore the small confines of this place being AA but I wouldn't go back to living in a city, I love how quite and simple it is here and Clovelly just looks as you've said absolutely stunning! Finally catching up on your travel vlogs, Aden! I'm watching this early in the morning while having my breakfast. Oh my god I am in awe and it's a perfect way to start the day. Clovelly definitely looks like it's lifted from a postcard and my favorite shot of you is when you sat down by the harbor around 15:17. 😍 I also love how quiet it is, as you said, just the bird songs and the ocean. It’s what I envision as a place to escape to, extremely different from the hustle and bustle of the city life... Or maybe somewhere I could fulfill all my coastal grandma fantasies. The garden and orchard are a DREAM! And it's like the cherry on top of this trip! Thank you for yet another wonderful vlog! So good to see Blue's pure little face. I lost my little boy, Dakota The Yorkster, on May the 8th, 2022. We reckoned he was around 15 or 16 precious years. My son and his family rescued him, and he came to live with Granny as they adopted two younger big dogs. We'd already become fast friends when I was taking care of my granddaughter, and on many weekends when he stayed with me. He was quite healthy except for some loss in hearing and sight these past few months. He'd been coughing a little for a couple days, but I didn't realize it was serious until that night when he went into respiratory distress. It was a Saturday night, and I couldn't find an emergency vet in closer than 50 miles. He passed around 6 AM, and I was holding him. I am so grateful it went quick, and was the weekend so he didn't pass when I was at work. Rest well, my Bestest Boy! Clovelly--so verdant and luxurious. What a treasure even a video is for the environmentally impoverished! Oxygen is not overrated. Can you imagine the founders saying, "We will build a village in this little nook of the coast...it will be hard, but later on we will charge for it..." 😄 I think we're attracted to churches because of the peace and best aspirations found between those walls. The ideal to be our best selves and care for others is religion at its finest. All those gravestones oddly reminded me of Kayla's Let's Plays at first 😈. But I love cemeteries as well. I think my favorite part was the donkeys. I believe the one on the left is a mule. The last BnB where I stayed was also the home of a mule. He was so friendly. Running a close second is the waterfall. Thank you for clambering over all those rocks to get there. I'm sure it was worth it. I commend not taking the Land Rover, but doing the climb. It's good they have the transportation for folks physically can't.
Recently moved to the USA to be with my partner, but I miss home so much. So I absolutely love watching your vlogs, gives me the dose of the West Country that I need right now 💜 thank you!!!

Clovelly (minus the steep hill 😂) sounds so idyllic (posh word 😊👍🏼). Definitely a place for my must-see list! Love me a quiet place, not much of a city person, sound of the surf, cool forest walks, waterfall, and serene surroundings. The church looked beautiful (could imagine it in sims for a wedding) and I love old church graveyards as well, I like to read the older tombstones to, how would you put it?, learn about those already passed! Roslyn Church was a soul grabber for me, and because I love all things about British Monarch history (something you may never hear from a Maori!! But I cannot change what happened in the past ay!) I felt joy in my soul inside Westminster Abbey or Catherdral where all the old Kings and Queens are?! Thank you so much for this vlog Aden, much needed today I can tell you. Whenever I drive through some old historic like town where I live, I always go visit the graveyards. I can't really explain it, but you summed it up for me and thanks for that.

gorgeous it reminds me of a video game called gabriel knight 3. it´s a old game with poor graphics, but i kinda got the same vibe. narrow steep roads and old England style. walking the streets is the only thing i remember about that game it´s strange but it gives me a homesick feeling. i have never been to England before, but maybe in my past life, who knows
Oh wow, thank you for this video. I'm planning a surprise 5th year anniversary in July and didn't know whether to stay in the village or just outside of it or which hotel and was veering towards red lion Hotel. And the walk to it was divine. And can imagine enjoying a drink by the harbour. My partner is very adventurous and if we go for a short walk, we end up exploring a whole new area. Is there a lot more to do in the village? I know the entrance fee lets you in to the garden and museum.

Clovelly is such a lovely village with a massive history, so glad you took us with you. I visited loads with my family when i was a child with my old childhood dog and seeing these streets again made me shed a tear. Thank you Aden❤️

The best sleep I've ever had was during one of my vacations where I was staying at a hotel right on the beach. I let my balcony door open during the night and the sound of the waves lulled me to sleep.

Edit: Speaking of donkeys carrying people on top reminded me of Santorini where they make poor little donkeys carry tourists from the port of Thera all the way to the top and the thought of it makes me fume like a factory chimney!!!

I think this is my favorite vlog so far. The serenity comes through. Although that steep cobbled path....all I kept thinking was,my God what a scary ass walk that would in the winter time, with ice and snow. Yikes!

I’ve come back to this vlog curled up with a cup of tea in bed to kick off my weekend ❤ I’m also from this glorious county but based in Bideford in North Devon, about 15-20 minutes drive from Clovelly. Clovelly harbour is a gorgeous place to swim on a summer’s day and quay jumping is very popular there. I squealed when you walked past my friend’s cottage hehe - so lovely seeing the village through your eyes!
I'm a bit late watching but I always get around to it. I always put your vlogs on the big screen, and me and my one Yr old sit down to watch together. She loves them too. I went here as a teenager and our choccy labrador was a puppy who went straight into the harbour. She's no longer with us but was lovely to remember her watching this x
I love these vlogs! My husband and I have been talking about leaving the U.S and moving somewhere in England. It’s just so beautiful and we feel it’s where we want to be. So for now, until that happens, I will enjoy your beautiful vlogs and travels. 🥰

Finally catching up on your travel vlogs, Aden! I'm watching this early in the morning while having my breakfast. Oh my god I am in awe and it's a perfect way to start the day. Clovelly definitely looks like it's lifted from a postcard and my favorite shot of you is when you sat down by the harbor around 15:17. 😍 I also love how quiet it is, as you said, just the bird songs and the ocean. It’s what I envision as a place to escape to, extremely different from the hustle and bustle of the city life... Or maybe somewhere I could fulfill all my coastal grandma fantasies. The garden and orchard are a DREAM! And it's like the cherry on top of this trip! Thank you for yet another wonderful vlog! As someone who lives on the other side of the world and doesn't have the means to travel as much as I can as of now (still a struggling student), these vlogs mean a lot to me. ❤️ And please do make an orchard in Brindleton Bay!! So good to see Blue's pure little face. I lost my little boy, Dakota The Yorkster, on May the 8th, 2022. We reckoned he was around 15 or 16 precious years. My son and his family rescued him, and he came to live with Granny as they adopted two younger big dogs. We'd already become fast friends when I was taking care of my granddaughter, and on many weekends when he stayed with me. He was quite healthy except for some loss in hearing and sight these past few months. He'd been coughing a little for a couple days, but I didn't realize it was serious until that night when he went into respiratory distress. It was a Saturday night, and I couldn't find an emergency vet in closer than 50 miles. He passed around 6 AM, and I was holding him. I am so grateful it went quick, and was the weekend so he didn't pass when I was at work. Rest well, my Bestest Boy!
Clovelly--so verdant and luxurious. What a treasure even a video is for the environmentally impoverished! Oxygen is not overrated. Can you imagine the founders saying, "We will build a village in this little nook of the coast...it will be hard, but later on we will charge for it..." 😄
I think we're attracted to churches because of the peace and best aspirations found between those walls. The ideal to be our best selves and care for others is religion at its finest. All those gravestones oddly reminded me of Kayla's Let's Plays at first 😈. But I love cemeteries as well.
I think my favorite part was the donkeys. I believe the one on the left is a mule. The last BnB where I stayed was also the home of a mule. He was so friendly.
Running a close second is the waterfall. Thank you for clambering over all those rocks to get there. I'm sure it was worth it. I commend not taking the Land Rover, but doing the climb. It's good they have the transportation for folks physically can't.

Clovelly (minus the steep hill 😂) sounds so idyllic (posh word 😊👍🏼). Definitely a place for my must-see list! Love me a quiet place, not much of a city person, sound of the surf, cool forest walks, waterfall, and serene surroundings. The church looked beautiful (could imagine it in sims for a wedding) and I love old church graveyards as well, I like to read the older tombstones to, how would you put it?, learn about those already passed! Roslyn Church was a soul grabber for me, and because I love all things about British Monarch history (something you may never hear from a Maori!! But I cannot change what happened in the past ay!) I felt joy in my soul inside Westminster Abbey or Catherdral where all the old Kings and Queens are?!

It's like stepping back into a bygone era. Such beautiful old buildings and I love how it's remained the same and hasn't been modernised. Another great vlog, loved everything about it! Whenever I drive through some old historic like town where I live, I always go visit the graveyards. I can't really explain it, but you summed it up for me and thanks for that.

gorgeous it reminds me of a video game called gabriel knight 3. it´s a old game with poor graphics, but i kinda got the same vibe. narrow steep roads and old England style. walking the streets is the only thing i remember about that game it´s strange but it gives me a homesick feeling. i have never been to England before, but maybe in my past life, who knows
Oh wow, thank you for this video. I'm planning a surprise 5th year anniversary in July and didn't know whether to stay in the village or just outside of it or which hotel and was veering towards red lion Hotel. And the walk to it was divine. And can imagine enjoying a drink by the harbour.
My partner is very adventurous and if we go for a short walk, we end up exploring a whole new area. Is there a lot more to do in the village? I know the entrance fee lets you in to the garden and museum.
