P.S. This is, of course, the first tips video where I paid attention and really analyzed the music that is Aegleseeker. Since this is the first time a proper analysis has happened in this Tips series, I've decided to bring light to something I consider really important. Music analysis is the act of dissecting the music to study its structure and gain a better understanding of how the composition is constructed. Think of it as perhaps taking apart a piece of machinery, all the mechanisms exposed and open for you to observe. Study how all the separate parts interlock with each other so that the sum are more than their parts. There is one notable difference, however: Unlike a piece of machinery, where there is only one objectively correct answer, a piece of music can be analyzed and interpreted in a multitude of ways, and all can be equally as correct as each other. The elements that go into analyzing a piece of music include questions such as: What structure does the melody form? How is the melody related to the harmony? What structure does the harmony form and what is its harmonic rhythm? What are the strong beats and weak beats of the music? Are there any beats that are not as strong as the strong beats, but also not as weak as the weak beats? One can easily say that "Aegleseeker is definitely in 4/4 common time at a 234 BPM counting in quarter notes!" While this answer is technically correct, to say that this is the only correct answer is, frankly, short-sighted. This answer also leave wide open for questions such as: "How do I count the opening?" "How does this time signature fit into the picture of the build-up section?" The answer that Aegleseeker is only in 4/4 time is something that's difficult to prove, and at best, not helpful to your average rhythm gamer. This is how I came to the analysis I ended up putting in the video, it takes into everything I've mentioned above. Hopefully it should be easy to follow, or at the very least, easy to listen for
That anxiety with not having the PM indicator and not knowing if you had the PM until the text showed… must have been a long struggle. Congratulations!!
@@ollievilair 12.84 now lmaooo and yes still grinding for an FR/PM on this chart. 9979 so far (and I also had a run that was an FR up until the drop or somewhere around there)
0:19 I’m leaving a tip for myself. Because those arcs constantly intersect, it’s impossible to get red arcs. So you can just use four or more fingers on them if your having trouble with precision.
Your music analytics scare even a musician such as me. Which shouldn’t be a problem, considering I am shit at music theory more than I am at practicals, but damn Tresilos. You really went in depth. And I really appreciate that. Time to get the money to get Esoteric Order, I guess
“Most people play on devices smaller than mine” that is far too true for me, I play on a ipod so like 2/3 of the screen space a phone has so I could probably fit like 9 of my device on your screen and then some probably
if there is no PM guide of a song I highly recommend you to find the video of people PM that song, I am sure there is and even without that tips I think you can use 0.5x or 0.25x to painfully watch That you don't need to wait for him posting that PM guide and PM this more painfully
