- I got to practice on the US Pro Cup course before the race. This was after a big storm overnight. The trail has a solid base with about an inch of greasy mud on top. No issues with traction and should dry up nicely. Racing Cat 3 men 30-39.

45 minutes seems more like a drag race than a stamina thing .
you deffo got dragged though, that gap between you and #1, did you think you were in first and take it easy ?
I knew first was gone and the fight was for second. That's something I learned in Zwift racing. Sometimes you have to accept that certain places are out of reach

Stay in the front group right off the start. Don't let yourself become the rabbit, but stay in the front group. Attack on the climbs, recover on the downhills, spin on the flats.
Thanks for the tips! I learned the hard way on Zwift that not going with the front off the start is a bad tactic
You could probably race this on your gravel bike! Looks very smooth and fast.
Ah man it looks that way on camera but theres a ton of square edges and nasty rock armored G-outs making me wonder if a full suspension XC wouldve been the move
@@EvanSteinberg3 the camera doesn’t do it justice. Those rocky sections just look like fancy cobblestones. I think a hardtail was the perfect choice.
