Of all Alba, Andrea, and Rita's offerings,, this is clearly one of my favorites. Rita, your mom's guitar playing is incredible, loved her "Sabor a mi" interlude during her solo. I've just realised why the video is so compelling. The extremely wide aspect ratio enables super close ups of faces and particularly eyes without being uncomfortable. The men are kindly but mother and daughter are beautiful, Their eyes are curious (of others) and compelling.
The high production values for something as casual as an alfresco meal, super relaxed, Rita unselfconsciously scratching her chin, make us relaxed too, but knowing quality is on its way... a perfect gem of a composition and performance.
Best living singer/songwriter on the planet at the moment, if you ask me. Unique sound, I guess they will be playing your songs as new ‘standards’ within 50 years or so, just like we are still playing Jobim now. Thx for your music!

The first phrase and the overall flavor of this tune remind of the Jobim's Quiet days and quiet nights. Just listened to A.Gilberto and Sinatra renditions. As fine and polished as they are they don't measure up to the finesse, directness, sincerity of expression and emotional depth of Rita's. Very moving and wonderful as is her music, so well vocally and instrumentally crafted.
I was a bit bluesy today ; winter soltice, a lot of rain, getting stuck home like the old pensionist I am.. Exactly the kind of atmosphere I needed to relax (nice hair cut by the way, Rita!). Tks

Estoy absolutamente colapsado...hace meses que descubrí a Rita y esta canción, y es escucharla sin parar... TODOS los músicos son excepcionales... TODOS... Esto es una joya, una obra de arte, en todo punto: producción, percusión, contrabajo (vaya maestro...)... y guitarra... creo que nunca he visto una guitarrista con su habilidad. Hace cosas de otra galaxia sonriendo, fluyendo, es fácil para ella... camina, se regodea grácilmente con un suave vaivén en las cuerdas... simplemente son parte de ella... y no es que ella fluya con la música, sino que ella la hace nacer.... es una cosa extraordinaria... y luego Rita... bueno... es simplemente la música en estado puro... es su esencia... ella hace que simplemente nazca tal y como se necesita para que sea perfecta.... cada guiño, cada gesto, cada nota, cada tempo, con la voz, con el trombón.... en una locura tan grande que es complicado de explicar lo que transmite esta chica, con esa sinceridad... han creado un clásico hecho hoy... es un regalo y una obra de arte exquisita, como todos los que la tocan... GRACIAS.

Minha filha que morou em Barcelona a pouco tempo me disse que acontecia shows incríveis nas praças da cidade com todos os alunos da escola de Chomorro. De deliciar ela cantando bossa nova. I absolutely LOVE this song, Rita’s beautiful voice, and trombone improve, her mothers BEAUTIFUL guitar playing (!!!), and everyone involved in making this vid.
