    Gomez and Morticia would NEVER let their son treat his wife and child like that

    When she gets that tone in her voice when she says, "What did you just say?", you know the games over.

      Sometimes people will give the person a chance to correct themselves if they misspoke, but they know fully well that the person didn't... it's game over at that point, as you said!

    'Pugsly' lmao 🤣
    That said, I really can't stand when the wife is sick a DOORMAT. To the point that it's completely unrealistic
    I end up hating the protagonist almost as much as the antagonist
    This is beyond just 'I'm too worried about my kid right now to deal with this'
    I wish women in these stories weren't so weak

      Yeah well, if you have no money, maybe not any friends because you’ve been isolated from others, you can’t think past the immediate situation.pat hand.
      I’ve been there with three daughters. My husband even isolated me from my church. Neighbors think he’s such a good family man.

      Well - not every human being is blessed with a strong self-confidence, so be thankful if YOU are! No need to look down on them... I've got to know some of them, and they were very lovely people. It's no problem if they meet respectful, understanding, caring persons who could even let them thrive - but that wouldn't make an interesting story for most readers now, would it?
      Besides: In those stories they like to overdo and make one person especially weak to create a severe contrast between the characters, to create more emotional reactions. In addition e.g. a health insurance seems to be nonexistent; otherwise - like here - the protagonist wouldn't be so dependant on the antagonist.

      @@heikerosenau1520 in real life I don't. But it's something that comes up so often as a trope in these stories that it gets super frustrating. I just wish they'd do it less often

    I feel that trope of wife being doormat no matter what is just lazy.

    • @dolphindiver7724
      @dolphindiver7724 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Actually I don’t think they are always being a doormat. I think there are times where they are being financially abused or the wife puts up with WAY more than she has for the sake of someone else. Yeah but no the doormat wife is lazy writing on the writers part but I’m here for the karmic justice

    2 million at a young age with no intent to work isn't going to last forever if your plan is to live it up. I picture him spending it all in 4 or 5 years if he did actually get his hands on it. Taxes is going to take a decent chunk right off the top. This whole story is really, really dumb. The doormat is begging him? He's not providing anything of substance now. You can't get anything out of zero.

    • @AshendaFiremyst
      @AshendaFiremyst หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      She didn't beg after he revealed he dropped his job. He had attempted to kill Tina. She was financially dependent on him because of Tina, her inheritance is helping her break free. She'll need to get back on her feet quickly. As you said, 2m in this day and age will go quickly, especially with medical bills.

      Not all women are extremely strong, some dudes masculine energy is too powerful. That being said, I've been extremely lucky with not having to deal with that, but there's tons of stories I'm sure we both heard of about abuse with the guy being the abuser

      @taylorclarke7217 true, but in most stories I've heard, it's "the king's of the castle " or "men of the house" that are abusive. Regardless, I'm not trying to argue so let's say it's both and leave it at that, sounds good?
