    Bet with the pandemic, the owners are slapping themselves...they could have stayed home and had all the food they needed, from their back yard! Excited to see your new place. Thanks for experimenting and reporting to us. A GREAT alternative for small spaces!

      I have to say... I was honestly shocked when they started complaining about the fruit. LOL I asked them if they minded if I took the trees with me!

    I have been waiting on a new post and congratulate you on your sale. I have been curios to see how the garden is doing. You have worked so hard and sure you will have continued success in your new home. I wish I were the new owner I would keep EVERYTHING! What a gem.

    Very sad to see what is happening, but the good news is that you have rescued most of your plants and can start again at your new property. Hopefully you'll continue to make very interesting videos? I hope the move goes well.

      Hi John, it was both sad and happy for me because at the end of the day I was able to bring so many of my "babies" with me! I have finally started posting videos again and I will be posting what I am doing with the trees I brought with me.

    Oh wow!! That is amazing that you will transplant mostly of the trees to your new home. I have watched your videos about the vineyard and got so many ideas on how to grow, prune and train the vines. I have currently 2 months old red cardinal grapes. Just two! Haha but they are growing happily.

    Do you have a video for how you step the posts for espalier use? Did you just hammer them down into the soil?

    • @HDEspalierGardener
      @HDEspalierGardener  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sheri, thank you for asking that, it didn't occur to me to show what I was using for that. There is a tool (I will show in an upcoming video) that is used to drive posts into the ground. Basically it is a pipe that is closed on one end and it has handles. you put it on the post and use it to drive the post in. But as you mentioned, when i did the first ones i used a sledge hammer.

    what is the average cost of a fruit tree

    • @HDEspalierGardener
      @HDEspalierGardener  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About half of the trees were about $25 since they were very small. The other half range from that to $4k
