I bought one for my wife, it's very good to drive, hers is in Scuba blue, perfect colour to match the sea on the coastal roads of France when we go there late July
Nice review. I've got the A3 Convertible since a month. Dakotagrey with a brown rooftop. before I had the old model A3C which now has been converted to the Golf Convertible. The construction of the roof on the Golf is exactley the same as from the old A3C. The new A3C is so much better. Verry happy with my new ride.
One little correction: The Golf Cabriolet indeed doesnt have the all-window-opener at the sides, but I discovered it hidden in the middle console between the roof opening mechanism. So not easy to find, but it's there :)
@@autogefuehl I've recently bought this car. It seems it must be different to yours as the roof won't go down if that bit in the boot is up. Comes up with a warning on the dash. You have to pull it down in advance if you want the roof down.
Good review. I have a question regarding the roof control: To close the roof, do you need to press&hold the switch for all the time the roof takes to close? I tested an A3, and I had to hold down the button all the time to get the roof closed. Is this a defect? Thanks.
+Autogefühl Thanks for the reply. But I don't quite understand it yet. I mean, you need a hand on it (and your attention) for 24secs when doing it on the go. And if you lift up your finger for whatever reason and the roof is settled in half way... Probably you can say goodbye to the roof, am I wrong?
Hector Rodriguez Canda Thank you, Hector. Hehe, well the problem is, that most people do not try out the things themselves. Same with car dealers as with software developers. They should consider the people that test or really often use the stuff.
Hi Thomas, which car has more comfortable rear seats a BMW 230i convertible or an A3 2.0T convertible? Also, which one would you buy if it were your money and why?
hey m8, if you want really comfortable rear seats you might better be looking at the 4series / A5 or C-Class convertible? All reviews also here on Autogefuehl.
Sometimes, leasing rates for the bigger cars can be lower than for the smaller cars, just compare some offerings. However 2-Series and A3 convertible are also very nice - cant really say the back seats comparison though. I ll try to get a 2 series convertible for later this year then to see
Thanks! That would be great! By the way, I'm financially conservative so I don't believe in leasing because you never own the car. My business law professor drilled that into me and I never forgot it. haha :o)
I watched this to see how the roof mechanism works. That part was useful. What wasn’t useful was the sexist rhetoric spouted by this guy suggesting that women don’t care about alloys! Keep your ridiculous views about women to yourself and focus on the car review!!! Grr this made me mad!!! 😡

I have the S line version in white with black roof and it looks and drives fantastically. I do like these videos, very informative.

I love this car, wonderful review, thank you!
Carla Andrea Flores Quiroz Thank you very much - and agreed :)
When you want to put the roof down, do you need to pull that bit down that's in the boot first or does it do it automatically?
Automatic

+Motherfunkerz W yes. Every manufacturers does that, it is a safety requirement

+alp alan glad to hear that, join us for more reviews !
Very interesting to watch...Audi should make these smart videos themselves! The dealerships are mostly ill-informed salesguys.

Unfortunately, those cars are not in my budget.

+Autogefühl no offense good review :)
Full 15 minute video without a single full frontal shot of the car you are reviewing. Seriously?
+m lui that was an additional information video. See the basic review here: th-cam.com/video/jtouNtnNcdA/w-d-xo.html
