The new one looks marginally better but I do hope that down the line McFarlane releases actual new designs with more articulation. And no cel-shading of course. The last re-releases with Condiment King was hideous to say the least.
The new Batman adventures was one of my favourite cartoons growing up. As much as I loved the colour pallet and rich animation of btas, the new Batman adventures was in some ways more modern and stylized. It would be so great if they could make a new Batman adventures batmobile for this figure. I know DC collectables made one for the btas years back but don't if anyone made a batmobile for TNBA
I prefer btas big time Tnba is crazy stylized The proportions are ridiculous giant heads small ass bodies Almost anime Cheaper animation due to budget cuts I had read
Awesome review and comparisons as usual! I can't wait to get this figure again. Would it be possible for you to show him on the animated motorcycle/ with helmet head if it's compatible?
I have the original DC Direct release of this figure with the pin-less joints and the better plastic. I had the original figure with the pins showing in the thighs, but just like yours the ankles eventually broke and the loop holding the foot to the peg just disintegrated. So even though I had the figure for a couple of years, I e-mailed customer service at DC Direct and sent them pics of my broken figure. A couple of weeks later (to my great surprise) I received a new figure in the mail with the updated pin-less look, and more durable plastic. I still have that figure and so far it's holding up nicely. So I'll be skipping this new release, as I also have the McFarlane release with the cel-shading.
good review bro again, I m sitting in this weird spot where the fig looks cool and retro cartoony, full of style but... I can t mix them with what I have, ever... it s like style deco where I d love to have those that look best to me, like 2 face seems to me like the best version ever, but I d mostly fit them on a retro house bar 50 - 60s atmosphere, that d rock to me wooaahh! what the crap are those? they fall into pieces? and you buy more? just do that to my lines if you want to break my addiction bro, no joke! and the knees, ah no man, we re talking Titanic here bro, : I must assure you Sir, she s made of iron, she WILL go to the bottom... wow, just seeing this is enough to cool my passion as an iceberg ohh, the rest of the line does nt send any bat signal to me... many of them look uninspired, and you show a lot! it surely puts value in your reviews, you spare people a lot of hurt here especially parents I guess, as the day after Christmas, surely that Batman will not survive the night... hey, I broke figs in my day, Joes were tough, they did the job until the end. so now you know... good show bro
Got dc version thats best I like darker grey. I would like a none cell shaded animated batman only got the phantasm 2 pack im not opening . I have cell post cards from Warner store I like the stand ,the jla figures realy need a stand there wobley legs on a heavy figure Superman animated series be nice. A superman head on new figure is a idea
Where’s the downgrade? Well the cape But the plastic is sturdier and it’s pinless And it’s actually cheaper than the dc direct stuff was At least at the end there
@@dHuntersReviews Yah, the missing cape. And really, don't care for all the tiny variations of the same character. Say what you want about DC Direct but they created a huge number of characters and vehicles for this line. Todd has done very little beyond repaints.
@@studebricker2845 Todd is being a lazy dick for some time by now, he just mainly lives on repainted things and repainted Batmen, with 2 price hikes in a year, not much changes when it comes to these DC Direct reprintings
@dHuntersReviews for seating inside yes but when you stand them outside I feel like I never saw the batmobile be so massive by comparison to batman in show
@@dHuntersReviews figured it out, I was able to Center the figure on the stand with the clip being on the left thigh Cape is a little elevated but not too noticeable
The stands are the most lazy and ill-conceived accessory. I have the Batman, Batgirl and Nightwing figures and there is no possible way to. use the stands on Batman and Batgirl at all because of the capes. Even Nightwing sits very loose and off centred. Do better McFarlane.
@@dHuntersReviews I just got a grim knight, installed an aftermarket Arkham style wired cape in smooth black faux calfskin and it’s something I think you want to do. I bought the cape from Dylanfigs (TH-cam Dylany-55). Work quality was exceptional. It will scale to the Arkham style gliding cape from the game to a 7” figure. Life is strange. Last year I had a very bad accident and suddenly things don’t look as serious as it was. I stumbled across this hobby because I thought it would be therapeutic to slowly build a model as I heal. I can’t believe the cost of models these days. No space shuttle model made from 4 cents plastic is 150 dollars. I stumbled across this and it is cathartic to detail paint. I especially like the idea that they appreciate in value, I would never had thought of that. Overall, with the care that you take, your collection is investment grade. You could easily sell an Arkham figure 3x what you paid at the store, even if it’s opened.
It looks pretty good. I have always wanted to buy the original but with the insane price, and how easily they break im very grateful for this release
I get that
Look at that, a mcfarlane that can scale with ML 😮. I think i just found my batman fig

Yeah, I really liked Condiment King
Freeze and Scarecrow cel shading was fine
Batman and Robin it was horrible
I didn't think MacFarlane did 6 inch scale figures, I normally only see them do 7 inch scale figures.
They do Batman animated stuff in 6 inch as well as 1966 Batman stuff in 6 inch
Also Diablo and world of Warcraft stuff in 6 inch

About the DC Collectibles : Same here Brother, one of the ankle legs is broken, got to glue them fix unfortunately 😢 ( barely moved at all 😕 ).
Ridiculous
They improved but it took them like 6 waves

I can check for you if you remind me
I’m at work now

I never emailed them, I should’ve. I had a bunch of those figures break like TNBA Batman and Batgril, BTAS Catwoman, & more!
There is something off with the left knee of the new one. The knee cap looks too long
Cool Figure, We in Germany Must pay 30Euro for this Dude
It’s $30 US dollars here
Tbh l hope they release the justice league ones, because the aftermarket prices are crazy
Really? I passed on them besides Batman.
I’d want the Alfred from this line if I can’t get a 7 inch one or Michael Gogh one for a decent price.
I got you on Gough head

About the McFarlane : the split joints is just awful 😞, can the Open Shoulder Cape from the DC Collectibles put on to this Figure.....? Curious......🤔
Split joins?
And yes the cape would fit good

@@dHuntersReviews I'll look here but not often see it when you di can't afford it
Looks like Mr Incredible borrowed the bat suit
I just can't justify re-buying the same figure unless there was some kind of upgrade. In this case, it was a downgrade. WTF, Todd?!?

Would have been nice if mcfarlane stuck to the 7in scale for these. 7in scales better with the animated batmobile
7 inch is way too big for the animated Batmobile both outside and they don’t fit inside (most of them don’t)
But I also wish these were 7 inch scale
@dHuntersReviews for seating inside yes but when you stand them outside I feel like I never saw the batmobile be so massive by comparison to batman in show
Yeah it’s very long and big in the show
It’s huge
@dHuntersReviews if the first run of animated figures hadn't done so badly we probably would have gotten all these in 7in but oh well
Coming from the old 3 3/4 lines, I think 6 inch is fine.
How do I display it on the stand? The Cape is a major issue.
Under the cape? I don’t know I don’t use stands I hate them.
@@dHuntersReviews figured it out, I was able to Center the figure on the stand with the clip being on the left thigh Cape is a little elevated but not too noticeable
Don't use the clasp. Just stick the rod under the cape. For Batgirl I had to use blue tak because the rod was too long for her.
He looks great.
He's good, but I wish he was bigger.
Me too
Now where's Tim Drake?
That tiny tiny figure sucks
I’m sure they’ll rerelease him for $30
Sigh
Hi sir is this figure worth for buying?
Yes
But it costs too much and is shorter then if like
I also pretty the batman the animated series look

1st version best
Dunno, pins and the lighter color
Also he broke twice lol
This one’s not for me.
Yeah, I prefer DC Multiverse figures.
