Love it! I’m actually almost done building a tool I’m calling Obs2Obsidian. For video training some times like stuff on TH-cam for example, there’s no text for notes. I’ll use OBS to record a section of the video I’m learning, then the tool will take the video file and run it through OpenAI whisper and pull the transcribed text and then run it through ChatGPT and break it into a nice notes.
Wow, idk how I feel about this, on one hand this must be incredibly useful for someone already in the field trying to do labs. On the other, new people would miss out on certain understandings by writing their own notes in their own words. Although, most learning is not done through notes, it is usually done through doing. Do you feel as if you miss some understandings of topics or ideas by using a tool like this or has it only been helpful?
Yup exactly (I mention that in the video too). There's something to be learned by actually writing down the notes. For those brand new to the field, I highly recommend manually doing the notes. Once you're in the field (like me), I generally want to document labs so I can refer back to them but I don't gain much by spending a bunch of extra time doing it manually.
@@TylerRamsbey but this is still useful and helpful bcz in things that you might want to add something in your own words or custom payload and stuff you will already have a specific section you would append on rather than moving that piece of info moving in one section than later realizing this thing would fit in another section...for eg you learn sqli basics...then you learn after a long time some advance sqli stuff then rather than appending, you would directly put it in its specific section
It will work for anything that accepts Mark Down. I'm not sure if OneNote does by default, but pretty sure there are extensions you can use so it works.
Im studying on HTB Academy. Do you recommend to have multiple pages of different things from a module, or have one big page with all the content from the module. And then having one big table of content? I can see if you are pasting in new information in the same chat. Then the AI will update and make a bigger file with the content that you add. Great work! Thanks a lot! Im bad att taking notes.. I spend to much time on taking notes!
You're right of course but having a backup for reminders is super helpful and you may not have access to the original learning material later. Making a backup quickly is very handy.
